Looks to me like the engine stalled out while inverted right above the ground. Note the blue smoke out the bottom of the cowl shortly before the plane lurches and drops.[QUOTE=Zephyrs;41153171]

Most likely 110 octane, leaded avgas. It's a single row radial engine.

it could possibly be an engine stall, looking at the smoke... but it edged over on the left wing so fast. I wouldn't expect an engine stall to cause that
