First metal concert by them :smug:
First metal concert by them :smug:
Mine was Slipknot, when my bro dragged me there.
I bet the gig was good.
Rob Halford's by far one (if not the actual) of my metal singers, when I first discovered Painkiller, I fpimd a new love. :v: And he's pretty damn awesome considering his age.
I love Metal Meltdown. It is a damn good song.

I second this.
My favorite is Painkiller, though.

The intro's all: :banjo: then it kicks in like :black101:
Nostradamus was pretty dissapointing to me. It felt like they were trying to hard to make it epic, and the lyrics really aren't very good. Then again, Judas Priest haven't really been known for great lyrics since the 70's, but still...
Well, not too many people write songs about famous philosophers. So it must have been kind of hard to write it.

Plus not only is that hard, but the whole song/longplay was pretty damn long.

I think Painkiller's lyrics were great, though.

I think the album's biggest con is it's length. If they would have scrapped half the songs and kept the good ones, then it probably would have been pretty kick ass.
Sorry for the bump (not really) but I'm looking for a decent resolution image of the Jugulator album cover, I can only find really crappy quality pictures...
Feels awesome to finally get on Facepunch again, and I see one of my threads bumped.
Sorry though, I don't have a good pic of the Jugulator.
-Double post-
I just managed to get my hands on pretty much the entire Judas Priest discography, excluding anything released after 2005. This feels good.
...and you failed to mention this?

and also one of Judas Priest's best Breaking the Law live performance

My Favourites by far are Painkiller,Between the Hammer and the Anvil and Breaking the Law (It's hard as it already is to nailed it into 3 )
I find it funny to listen to Judas Priest and then to watch a video of Rob Halford being interviewed. He has the manliest voice that men can have.

true but well he can be rather effeminate sometimes....

confirmed
Judas priest's Electric Eye got me into reading the book 1984, pretty nice read too.
Didn't know that that was a book, I should probably read it too.
Cool to see this thread back again :v:
Probably best song on Nostradamus

I like their music, but I cant stand the singing.
As being a total package metal band I think Iron Maiden, for me, has accomplished that. Havnt Ran into another total package metal band.

I've heard "can't stand singing" so many times its hard to count. Everytime I hear an awesome band, but I don't like the singing, I just listen to their songs and I get used to the singing.
I think Priest and Maiden are so similar.
But I love them both...
The new Halford album is sweet, Rob got some sick vocals on it

Wow, that is pretty awesome. I'll get it if I see a copy of it in a store.
The lyrics are incredibly cheesy, but somehow the album is so catchy it makes you love it.
Halford is probably the only metal band that can have lyrics that goes "He’s the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world" and still make it an epic song.
