Is that as fun of a job as it seems it would be? Where do you get started to end up being an operator?
You and your fancy costumes and uniforms make me scoff. I'm being Sam Fisher. Now all I need is to make some Night Vision Goggles...

How do I get one?

Basic Training. It's an MOS, 15W. In order to get the training, you just need to wait for a position to open up when you enlist. It's entry level, you don't have an officer to fly UAVs for the army. If you're interested in it, I'd wait about half a year before jumping in. The ERMP (Biggest and baddest and newest of the Army UAV's) is in such high demand that it's getting its own MOS soon. If you joined now, even if you were selected for ERMP training after graduation, you'd most likely be stuck flying a Shadow once the new MOS opens up for ERMP--meaning you'd have to reclass to fly it.

Oh, and Gerbile, this is BIRYN (The younger one).
Sorry to be off track guys, continue.
I'm gonna be a suicide bomber this year.
Only confetti flies out.
Army UAV Operator, and I totally updated a wicked long time ago. I don't do much these days, though. They've got me sitting on CQ while I wait for surgery.
Damn that sucks, if your just sitting on CQ they should send you to my unit. We're hurting for people really bad. :(
No one wants to go to combat anymore. Also anyone who said the ACU's are comfortable... no not really. (I actually prefer the Marines' MARPAT uniform, I think it's so much better and more comfortable.) Especially if you have to wear the FRACU's those things are horrible and don't last very long.
Flecktarn is pure sex.

I disagree. Aluminuflage is better:

Now 30% more reflective!
Dazzle camouflage is fine too
I like m90

:h:
A modern army uniform is possibly the dumbest/worst costume idea I've ever heard of.
Dress up like this.
I wear the ACU on a weekly basis.
The boots aren't all bad and the uniform is quite comfy but hot
On a daily basis here.
And I can vouch for the uniform too, it's comfortable but a bit on the stuffy side.
Why wear a modern uniform, I don't like people masquerading as modern soldiers when they have nothing to do with them. Wear an old WW2 uniform or something, its more spooky and less likely to offend. And I wear the British DPM Uniform 2/3 times a week at cadets, it looks pretty good in short sleeve order.
I just learned the little black box on the ACU is an IR reflector.
You learn something new everyday
And how about I wear an SS uniform. Offensive?

Isn't that illegal?

Which cadets are you in?
A Red Army soldier would be cool to reenact.

Only in Germany I'd imagine.
I dressed up as a pirate last year and to save for the authenticity, I had my left leg removed at the knee and replaced with a wooden peg.
It's growing back quite nicely this year!
I thought this was about TF2's Soldier costume

I like the 1980's US Infantry look. This was my first airsoft loadout, however I switched to a new loadout because I no longer wanted to be associated with the M81 Woodland crowd.

We still use those LBV's, Kevlars, and pistol belts here for training. I've got 'em shoved in my locker right now. They're a pain in the ass.
