New child adoption system! "Hey you, kid, wanna be adopted by me?" "Sure :=)"
Let's evolve that system in the next DLC! "Hey, kid, I just murdered both your parents and all of your friends, wanna be my adopted child in the hopes that someday you will have glorious revenge and call yourself king by your own hand?" "K" "Great, I'll call you Conan, now go turn this wheel until you're a mountain of muscle."
Xbox exclusive What about PS3?
I thought it was a mod and I was like "oh that's kinda cool" until I saw the official logo and stuff at the end.
Why do I have to adopt a child? Why can't I just make one?
Child I could adopt you if u want
New child adoption system! "Hey you, kid who I just met on the street, wanna be adopted by me?" "Sure :=)"
And then you can teach them not to be ashamed of their dicks. Especially since they're good size 'n all.
ITT: People not realizing Bethesda is a company and needs to make money to make more games on the Elder Scrolls scale Even then, it is just $5 for what is actually quite a bit of content. Building a house (Game-Jam had it before the mod), adopting a kid (also Game-Jam), random events at said house, and trophy rooms in said houses (thank god).
so it's the sims. wtf
My favourite part of the sims was mounting skulls in my room and then being attacked by rats and giants
They keep tacking on DLC yet they never bother fixing the core issues with the game's design.
This should be the new theme

this is actually really legit, finally an official housing mod

Id like this on pc, the 'build your own home' qeust is nice, but I prefer this house to be honest. Steam workshop needs more home building mods.
While it seems like a silly thing to add for the PC version, this is honestly a really nice expansion to add for the console version. I might get it for PC when it comes, though I wish it was more stylized, as in being able to really personalize your home, make it an evil lair or a dwemer house or something.
This is something that Mojang would do
this is actually really legit, finally an official housing mod
Its 360 exclusive though from the trailer. And there are probably better house mods allready made for the PC if you dare venture into the skyrim nexus. I know fallout 3 and new vegas had house mods. It was more aimed at building a town and base instead of a single house just for you and your adopted kids.
People here seem to be forgetting that Bethesda openly stated that they'd be looking into making mod concepts available to console players in one form or another. They obviously chose to do it with small DLC. Sure, this is not doing much for PC players, but the console crowd are getting huge steps up towards the experience we have at our fingertips and as good samaritans, we should be happy for the dumb little fuckers. Bethesda will probably make a real expansion DLC for the real gamers at a later date. But this dlc model is actually a good thing because it's the first time a game developer has held to just a bit of the marketing bullshit they spewed pre-release, since 1995. You should all be happy. The DLC is balls, but it's a symbol of customer/dev relations improving.
Oh my god you can adopt a little girl? Let me go find my wallet.
So will there be different types of styles? Can I upgrade from wood walls to stone?
Its 360 exclusive though from the trailer.
No, it's going to be on the 360 for a month before it's released to other consoles, same as Dawnguard.
I'm alright with this being console exclusive, since they lack modding tools and all. This seems like it'd be decent for the PC as well, if someone who has little to no experience in the Creation Kit would have a hard time trying to building any kind of structure. But, with some time and effort, I'm sure you could make something ten times better with the CK.
I'm actually looking forward to this.
can i adopt you
Can I beat my adopted children?
I don't see the problem, it's not like you have to buy this. It's just a nice cheap little addition.
Can I beat my adopted children?
More importantly... can i kill my kids and wife? MORE importantly. Is there going to be a Fritzl mod?
god dammit why are we limited to adoption dragornborn needs some dragonlove
