Wow, I remember when PHW was still in its prime.
That seems so far away, the Golden Age of Garry's Mod.
Back when imagination filled the gaps that Lua couldn't, amazing content was produced every day.
Kathar's Models? Apostasy? Afro Zombie? Remember when Concerned was still thriving and being read by millions every day? When the Comics section was actually good? Pirate Ship Wars? On Roleplay servers, iconic maps like RP_Bahamut and RP_Hometown1999 were still in use, as was csc_desert? Kenny the Cop? Ravenholm Armory? RP_Cargotown? Rave Man? Jeff? The minor but still amazing Emergence comic series? Stuck in a Bucket? It was a simpler time when your comic skills weren't based on the number of Photoshop edits pumped into each photo, but the story and the characters. People made comics to entertain, not to have people line up and bow down in awe of your endless Timeroller comics. Paying for maps seemed like an arbitrary silliness, but now, endless people line up, desperately clamoring for competent mapmakers.
And the plagues of DarkRP and Wiremod, which dimmed the creative spark of Garry's Mod.
The Golden Era of the Source Engine was so long ago, so fleeting, yet so... incredible.
Man, I feel old.
