Last year my Dad asked me what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas present combined (B Day is on November 19) and I told him MW2. He asked how much I said $60, he said it was too much. I didn't get anything at all. But I didn't complain.
Here in Finland it's legal to make a job contract as early as in age of 14, which I did when I was young. I've been working on construction sites every summer for 6 years now, and I got enough money after each summer to buy a whole new PC if I wanted to :P
Of course there's a lot of luck involded, but if you're willing to spend your vacations working, and manage to make a proper contract, it shouldn't bee too hard.
I don't know how they hire young people in the US or UK or from where ever you are.

I will probably get a job (I'm 15, 16 in a few months) that will be like 8 hours per week for like 4 (perhaps more than 5€ if I'm lucky) euros per hour, which means I get 32 euros per week and around 128 euros per month (or 40€per week and 160 per month).
If I'd had 160 euro, I could probably already buy a very nice cpu (I believe the amd 955 one is like 150€, but your motherboard should be compitable with am3) and another month or 2 will get you enough I think for a 5850 or something or maybe even an 5870.
Or you could then save up for 3 months, buy a gtx460, an am3 compitable mobo and a 955 at once.
But then you obviously need a job, you can't just expect to find (legal) secret ways to make lots of money in short periods of time. It's just not possible and if it was, a lot of people would be doing it right now.
Move to Thailand, the rest should be obvious

I'm mainly doing it for the work experience, since to become a vet they like to see that kinda thing on your university application. If they hadn't offered me the job, I would have asked if I could help them on a voluntary basis anyway.
