This is very sad. Looking at these pictures makes me want to be there right now helping them personally. But instead, I'm sitting here on my computer.
All of this is terrible. Japan is getting so much shit from some higher entity right now, it isn't even funny. Wished I could do more than just send some euros to them.
Hope the reactor doesn't turn into another Chernobyl.
I'm looking forward to Chernobyl 2.0. Edit: Self-rating late.

I'm amazed people find humor in this.
Wow, watching the video the guy did for the Today show didn't make it seem THIS bad at all. I hope the radiation doesn't get worse
When you have to build your own raft to get off the roof of a building then you know this shit's out of control.
This will go much better than Katrina I wonder why.
[IMG]http://inapcache.boston.com/universal/site_graphics/blogs/bigpicture/quake2/bp6.jpg[/IMG] Building your own raft, that's pretty awesome. Instead of waiting around for rescue workers to come, they salvage items around them and try and build a successful raft. It kind of reminds me of something from 'the colony' only way more badass. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] Wow holy shit I just noticed there's a Cesna sitting in the top right corner of the picture.
I feel guilty for watching asian porn
Maybe they built a homemade floatplane/raft out of those parts? That one guy in the blue cap sort of resembles a Japanese MacGyver.
The news says that 2,000 bodies have washed up on a beach. :( Poor Japan...
What really amazed me was how calm and collected people were considering what had happened. I was watching a BBC news report, and people were queuing calmly and quietly to get into a supermarket to get the provisions that they needed - and probably weren't even there. It's heartwarming to see people being so generous in Japan, especially since no one really has anything to give, yet they give it away anyway.
[img_thumb]http://inapcache.boston.com/universal/site_graphics/blogs/bigpicture/quake2/bp23.jpg[/img_thumb] Looks like the aftermath of an epic game of "spam the freight container" on gm_flatgrass.

All the containers look like little toy pieces. :/
Over the summer I plan to go to Japan to help out with my sister. A disaster like this will not be fixed in a matter of months, so I do expect there will be much to do. I'm just happy to know that the entire mom's side of the family lives in Kansai, far away from the devastation.
I think those who rated this thread funny should be banned. After all, this is a tragedy and people died from it and it's not funny.
