More recent South Park episodes are made with Maya.
South Park has been animated with Maya since 2001 and if you can't understand how that is possible you are dumb.

That would take forever. With Maya they go from script to finished episode in about five days.
Family Guy uses flash.

If i'm correct, Southpark used to be stop-frame but not anymore, they actually do Motion, I remember watching an interview on the creators.

Flash is good for web development because it has quite a good scripting side to it. It's far from appropriate for something like proffessional cartoon animation.
