This would save everyone the trouble. We're not trying to attack you, I don't think so atleast.

(Also saying "I'd tap that" really doesn't send a good first impression.) I'm sure to 99% of straight men, being attracted to a women of the TG variety might be a shocking to them. Surely you could see what he mean't instead of just moaning about it?
I'm sure to 99% of straight men, being attracted to a women of the TG variety might be a shocking to them. Surely you could see what he mean't instead of just moaning about it?
We get that, but his word choice is what got this whole this started.
We get that, but his word choice is what got this whole this started.
So if he said "a trans women" would that have been better than "a trans" surely you could have seen what he meant?
So if he said "a trans women" would that have been better than "a trans" surely you could have seen what he meant?
no they still would have complained because of the a
So if he said "a trans women" would that have been better than "a trans" surely you could have seen what he meant?
Yes, it would have been, and I did see what he meant when he used "a trans", The reason it stirred up so much shit it because it was a blunt statement, like trans women and men were nothing but objects or a third party separate from "normal" people.
no they still would have complained because of the a
So on that understanding, if i said "Shit, never thought I'd say this to a man". Would that be so terrible too? no.
So on that understanding, if i said "Shit, never thought I'd say this to a man". Would that be so terrible too? no.
She's just being snarky. Ignore it. Saying "a transgender" make it sound like we're some weird 3rd entity if you understand what I mean. Like someone going, "Oh look, there's a man, a woman, and a transgender walking together," rather than saying 1 man and 2 women.
no they still would have complained because of the a
Just because it wouldn't bother you doesn't mean it wouldn't bother someone else. We get it. Nothing ever bothers you and you're never offended by anyone ever. Stop being so bitchy everytime someone is.
So on that understanding, if i said "Shit, never thought I'd say this to a man". Would that be so terrible too? no.
its a different kind of word so it changes the whole context something i suck at grammar so i cant start explaining it [editline]2nd January 2013[/editline]
Just because it wouldn't bother you doesn't mean it wouldn't bother someone else. Stop being so bitchy everytime someone has an issue with something for fucks sake.
i just answered their question
i just answered their question
Everytime someone gets offended you always seem to have some snarky bitchy post about it. Its getting really annoying. Sorry if you weren't trying to be. It just REALLY comes across that way.
I'm seeing this all from my point of view, I see myself as a third party to everyone else. I'm a crossdresser and to 99% of the world I'll be seen as something different, I don't fit the male stereotype or the female but this doesn't bother me in the slightest. I don't think this will ever change but I really don't care. Instead of expecting everyone else to accept you, why not just accept yourself and stop letting other people bother and effect you so much.
Instead of expecting everyone else to accept you, why not just accept yourself and stop letting other people bother and effect you so much.
this

Really nice advice, though.
this
That's easy for some and I've done it myself for the most part. But that doesn't mean we should sit around and ignore it. Every bit of misconception adds fuel to already white hot flame that is transgenderism. Why not fight bit by bit to make the future a better place for transgender people so it's easier on their lives?
Instead of expecting everyone else to accept you, why not just accept yourself and stop letting other people bother and effect you so much.
I agree with the accepting yourself part, but life kinda sucks if everyone hates you for being a "tranny". If we just ignore we're simply being complacent in their mistreatment of us.

Run away, BFG9000! Hurry! Also, wasn't that fella he commented on just crossdressing for fun or something?
Run away, BFG9000! Hurry! Also, wasn't that fella he commented on just crossdressing for fun or something?
It's a little complicated :v:
Run away, BFG9000! Hurry! Also, wasn't that fella he commented on just crossdressing for fun or something?
I think Blaberry is trans. Not sure.
It's a little complicated :v:
Did you find his comment offensive? I did not.. Perhaps naive, but not offensive or mean in any way. And in regard as to how the rep of someone diagnosed with transexualism may be instead, I cannot say that I would deny uninformed, yet friendly people in comparison. However, I do still understand how one can get hurt by it, if I am truly honest to myself, I would probably feel bad about statements worded in such way aswell (same goes for hearing it targeted toward someone else). But I guess I just don't find any reason to prioritize such matters. Of-course, it goes kinda hand in hand with how one does not fully grasp the concept of transsexualism. So I understand that it can be frustrating. But I cannot blame people for that since there are lots of moral thinking in our society which in one way or another contradicts it (not intentionally, but they are there). As long as people try to understand and accept, I cannot be more satisfied.
>called by official name >admonish me >call by suggested Name >admonished yet again Seriously, wtf. Did it matter that much that I dropped the "woman" or "man" after "trans"? It was a compliment and nothing less. I didnt want to say "transexual" again because apparently that's SUPER RUDE!
Don't greentext outside of 4chan. Ever.
Don't greentext outside of 4chan. Ever.
That's just as stupid as if I were now to say to you RULE 1&2!

You have to word it to them more friendly than some people on here do, though, cursing people out isn't going to make anyone want to understand, it's enough that they suddenly have an entire thread shouting down their ear, they don't need the comments to also be negative. And sure, what they say might be offensive, but you have to see where they come from; a society which rarely acknowledges us, and if it does, it's probably in a discriminatory fashion. They're not used to the way we refer to ourselves, to outsiders, we are traps. That's what we're called. And yes, that might be offensive, but everyone can't possibly know it is. What we want is acceptance, but we also have to realize that the reason someone would call you a trap isn't out of malice, they simply don't know any better.
That's just as stupid as if I were now to say to you RULE 1&2!
Well, considering using memes and macros are against the rules. Using greentexting can get you banned.
Why are we still discussing this, hasn't all misunderstandings been cleared by now?
Hi, I'm a guy and like the idea of wearing panties and socks, although I'm not transsexual, I still like feminine girly things, but still cling to masculinity, if that makes sense. I haven't had the chance til now to try some things I like.
Don't let gender roles get the best of you, do what you are most comfortable with
