Well yeah I posted this, I didn't see why you had to jump up about it and defend this nonsense.
Refer to this.
You expect people to believe anything you have to say when you only spout, "Its bullshit," without giving any evidence? How can you think just repeating the same word without explaining or providing any evidence is going to make people listen to you? How is that going to help people learn? C'mon now. Use your brain. If a kid thinks the sky is green then me saying, "You're fucking stupid it's not" isn't going to make his brain realize it's blue.
lol
Girls, girls. Everybody go and get a subscription to Architecture Monthly. Read it. Study for a while, and then you'll learn how to build a bridge so you can get over it. We have enough people giving us crap without giving each other crap. Play nice, now ♥
First Therapist appointment next week. Little excited.
So excited for you, doll ♥
Since I'm 16 now I need to work on getting my dosage upped to something that will actually work. Because 0.5 mg a day isn't a lot. also issues with passing n bullshit that I need to deal with [editline]17th January 2013[/editline] Off topic but I might be getting braces :c [editline]17th January 2013[/editline]
or we can not debate and just have this be a thread for people who are either crossdressers or some form of transgender??? god this isn't some fucking club, go to mass debate if you want to debate. just fucking be nice to each other instead of turning it into a goddamn argument
But..but that takes logical thinking!!
.5mg of Estradiol isn't a whole lot, daily. What's your anti-androgen and dose?
I was 15 when he put me on that to shut me up, I'm on one injection of 7.5mg lupron depot a month (and I'm getting my next one tomorrow) [editline]17th January 2013[/editline] Although I used to (and still have a couple refills left ) be on 100 mg/day spiro
Oh, you're on Lupron? Really super jealous. You can get away with much lower doses of E if you're on Lupron because it lowers your T and DHT to castrate levels, which makes the E all the more potent.
Only reason I'm on lupron is because of my dads disability health care.
Blurg it's sorta frustrating educating my counselor on trans-stuff, even if she's totes accepting and willing to work with me to get this stuff started. Also suddenly becoming overwhelmed with all the stuff/work I'm gonna have to do to act/sound female and this anxiety isn'T HELPING.
You're really lucky; Lupron isn't usually covered. As a GnRH Agonist, it's so much more effective than any standard oral anti-androgen and is going to give you fantastic results.
How come it ain't standard then?
It's very expensive as a drug and has a very specific use and purpose, so insurance companies often don't approve it on their list of medications. Drugs like Spiro and Cypro have other, non HRT uses, so they're very common. But GnRH Agonists are very specific; they bind to the receptors in the body that produce hormones (both Testosterone/DHT and Estrogen, actually) and prevent it from even being produced. It's pretty specific for hormone disorders.
Would there be an issue for the body to switch? If not, I would probably ask for it during my next meeting.
When you get your shot, there'll be a period of about 3-4 days of significantly heightened testosterone due to the mechanism of action, but you can take Spiro during those days to negate that downside. But it's the superior choice by far.
$526 a month is how much my shot is Anyways my phone is bout to die so I best be running
Just curious, can HRT and Abilify and Zoloft, be a bad combination? I take Abilify and Zoloft and if I ever wanna do HRT I wanna know if they will be bad all together like that.
From a chemical point of view, dopamine agonists and SSRI's have no specific contraindications with anti androgens or estradiol. However, that being said, you'll likely have to have your regiment monitored and adjusted to compensate for the new spectrum of emotional response that comes from a significant change in hormonal makeup.

Even so, I would still pick this a thousand times over my drive.
Well, what you have to understand is that the mechanism of action for oral anti-androgens - both Spiro and Cypro, as well as Finasta - is that the testosterone is still produced, its just inhibited after the fact. And even with something like Spiro, you could be on it for a number of years and if you went off it, you'll usually find some level of fertility returns after a spell (around about six months,) in most people. Of course something like this doesn't have high efficiency, even in Cypro. There's still a good degree of Free Testosterone in the body, and DHT remains unaffected. GrNH Agonists stop the hormones from being produced at the source. This leads to infertility very quickly, obviously, but it also means your levels are reduced to castrate levels for both T and DHT. But its mechanism of action is to bind the receptors, which causes an increase in production at first before it tapers off.
It's a great thing you came to this thread Pudding~. So educating.
I think I need to go to English class some more

Gosh guys ♥ Thanks so much. I just like to help out.
The hearts bother me and it feels like you're forging a personality. [editline]18th January 2013[/editline] No offense, seems too perfect
Facepunch has pretty strict jargon, actually. Her writing style is closer to somewhere like 420chan, that's all.
I do not get why her typing style upsets me
I'm not even transgendered and I still find Pudding to be adorable and very educational <3
The hearts are something I've used ever since I discovered custom keyboard mappings for my Mac. I have ♡♥♪☆★ all mapped to keys and I tend to use them fairly regularly in conversation ~ I'm sorry if it bothers anybody. I can tone it down...?~ [editline]18th January 2013[/editline]
I'm not even transgendered and I still find Pudding to be adorable and very educational <3
Thank you, my lovely.
