While I'm no crossdresser myself, just wanted to say that most of you make for some very attractive women and I hope you all continue doing what you do best and don't let others get you down just because of something you want to do!
oops I read that in claptraps voice
Due to my big, heavy coat, I can practice ~walkin' wavy~ and no-one will notice. Though I have no idea how to ~walk wavy~...
I do it without heavy clothes on and no one ever seems to notice. Just work in a little hip swing into your step. Don't make it super obvious though because you'll look silly. Bring your feet closer together when you walk too.
Any room for me here?
Help I have the motor control of a elephant
Have you seen and elephant use it's trunk? They've got great control. Unless that was the joke.
I don't know why but that peeves me right there.
"why they've chosen that path to go down"
Making the choice to be trans is akin to making the choice to breathe. Sure, you can choose not to. Doesn't mean it's going to do anything other than hurt you.

That's a really warm welcome.

I dunno. I just do it. Just try to pop your hip out to that side when you take a step. Practice makes perfect.

I'm pretty sure it was just a joke.
Why why why...
I was eating dinner and somehow we (grandparents, parents, and I) started talking about the New York subway. I said I liked riding it and my dad said he doesn't because you're either sitting next to the crackhead or the she-male and he went on to make fun of hermaphrodites and transgender people and the like for quite a while with my grandparents... Hope of coming out to them has officially reached 0. I was clinging on some hope that he still wasn't like that but it's gone now...

People tend to react different when it's their own child.

Doesnt matter now because everyone involved knows how he really feels, granted he's probably never even put any thought into it.

You shouldn't let that stop you too long. It's a matter of ignorance more than anything. If they had someone like that in the family they wouldn't have much choice but to learn about it and realize that they were wrong.

My dad was like this too but then I told him and he was like "Oh, alright" and apologized that he had probably offended me a lot and I said it's ok and then life went on. Really, my family just makes fun of anything and everything.
That's a really warm welcome.
It was a joke, sorry. Welcome to the thread, not much happens here except the occasional "I'm on HRT or going to see a theapist" blip on the Trans-XP meter or the drama-rama.
I'm going to see a therapist

My mum used to make fun of trans people a lot. Our neighbour [who was a gigantic BITCH [sub][sub][sub]and fat[/sub][/sub][/sub]] turned out to be FtM and when we read it in the newspaper like a year ago she made fun of him a lot..
opinion changed once I was out.

*Blip* XP Gained!
*Blip* XP Gained!
Long road ahead, dunno when the session is (could be up to 3 months, NHS) so I've been speaking to a university counselor in the meantime to try and improve my confidence in talking to people about it. It's really hard, I'm not a very closed, almost emotionless person :( I'm worried if I don't manage to open up enough I won't be able to convince the person at the proper gender clinic thing that I'm trans because I'll be too shy to say anything. Also I really hope hormones make me more emotional like some people report they do.
Also every professional I talk to encourages me to come out to more people I trust (possibly my family too) and to possibly seek out local support groups, but I don't know if I want to tell people too early incase it turns out I'm not trans or something, that'd be really embarrassing. What do you think?
Don't mind me, just having a look at this thread since I have never opened it before(I don't crossdress)
You guys have some damn sexy legs [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img]

It will probably be easier to talk about it to a therapist, since it's kinda their job to know about these things and give advice and such.
And if you don't want to full on tell people "I'm trans" or such, just tell them the truth. If you're not 100% confident you want to go through with it, just tell them you're having feelings about it and want to look into it and possibly do something about it.

hi reshresh :>
I'm pleasantly surprised with the amount of new memebers that have popped in here. Nice to know we can draw people in and possibly help them.

I was making a post and FP goes down.

People rating rainbows for gay should be banned, seriously. Its not gay unless you are into men.
Im fine with people rating rainbows for optimistic though, i mean, like if somebody actually posts optimistically.
Yeah i got a bit back in this thread. I dunno. Im having some massive mood swings recently and i thought giving up essential parts and issues of me would solve it. I conflict with myself alot.
Figured out that didnt work for shit so here i am again. Stuck in a man body as a girl, who wants to be a man who wants to be a girl who wants to be a man who wants to be a girl.
I think i might be psychotic.
Our physics teacher was talking about transformers today, as in power. He decided that people would better understand him if he compared it to transvestites. I don't think anybody was less confused, if anything, they were more confused.
