its, by society's standards, clothes of the opposite gender
Exactly. And Society is stupid. It's just clothes.
Gender roles and norms make sense to some extent since the majority of men and women tend to naturally follow them.
It isnt stupid really, and you are transgender if you do crossdress
Clothing is societal. But so is gender. Crossdressing is under the trans umbrella.
Finally going to move in with my big brother, only temporary until I get my own place, but at least I'm finally out of my dad's transphobic house. Things were getting even worse the last few days.
And my big bro's gf gave me a pair of her boots, so nice of her, really loving them. <3
I'm getting ready to move, so excuse my terrible room.

Can be worn both knee-and thigh-high. :3
darn I need to get some boots like that
Yes
boots like those are awesome but I like it better when they got all these cool straps and buckles on them
I don't even know things anymore.
I sure hope so. I would have loved to have looked into this a lot earlier but I had never even heard of hrt until after joining FP and up until then I had always been made to understand that men who wanted to be women were just perverts who had something wrong with them. FP is actually what made me realize it was okay. (I think I just started rambling, I shouldn't post when I have a headache...)
Friggin' stuff like this. If I knew HRT was a real thing, and that it was ok to feel what I was feeling, I would've already tried talking to my counselor about it when I was 13.
Oh well.
My parents and much of my family is old fashioned and are transphobic.
I'm too fucking scared to tell them, I think I'll just move out and leave it at that.
Eat them. Consuming their genes will make you stronger, quicker, and more mentally agile.

What? how?
Bah my practice manager keeps having a go at me each time I wear nail polish, it seems she does not want me to wear it at work because I'm a "man" I would tell her I'm trans but if she's just sexist about a man wearing nail varnish I'm worried about what she would be like to me then :( well to be honest she will find out sooner or later wheni see my gp ( joys of working at the surgery your a patient of :/ ) bah I need to talk to the locum doctor too see if I would need to be re referred to the councillor or if I can just books appointment with out being re referred, I just need to talk over some things with a person who just listens, although I won't talk about being trans unless I'm asked as I doubt the councillor could help, I don't know >_<
And now I'm off to a leaving doo with 8 of the people from work so that means I have to go out in public which I don't want to do but I'm kinda being forced
On a nicer note though, changed my nickname to Kumiko on steam :D
Sorry for my rambling wall of text full of spelling mistakes and grammer fails :(
I'm so afraid I'll never tell anybody about how I feel and I'll continue living my life like it is now and just being unhappy.
Guess who bought some new heels!

I would recommend against not telling someone personally. Of course your family or whoever you may want to tell could be less supportive than the people I told, but it was a huge relief just to simply get it out finally.

I just have no idea who I could tell.
Tell everyone! Once you tell someone you will realise how little they give a fuck and then you will go and tell everyone and not be scared anymore!
Hearing people's conversation on transgender people aren't much of a confidence boost.
Believe me once you tell a few and get good reactions it's much easier to tell others. I'm planning to just change my name on Facebook and put a long status about who I am, I'll answer questions, remove if you dislike, etc once I tell my dad and brother.

That's a gread idea and personally i'd love to see the post, if you're not comfortable with sharing your FB here/via pm, atleast take screencaps?

I was thinking about doing that.
But I won't until I move out of this house of course.
Have you girls (or guys) ever seen the Princess Cookie episode of Adventure time? It really seems like a pro-transgender episode and makes subtle hints at tackling what hurts a lot of trans people, how the view of the world is to them, etc. At least, I was able to really feel and connect with it instantly.
That's what I felt when I watched it and it was both sad and cute :3
Here's the whole episode (Only one I could find on Youtube so sorry for the quality).

I thought so too, and seeing that the creators of the show are pro-LGBT, it is entirely possible that it was intentional.

I found that episode to be really deep to me, because I imagine that most of us feel this way, to an extent. In any case, I have a friend who hosts HD versions of that on unlisted videos. Here's the episode in HD.
