I'm not sure I trust freezing my sperm.
(This is my opinion of course so you don't have to 100% take my word for it or whatever) But saving your sperm as far as I know is pretty damn safe. If I were you, I'd ask a doctor or whoever runs sperm banks etc about it. Cause really, if you can be convinced it's a safe option then you can begin to transition a lot earlier :]!

Yeah, I need to talk through with my GP at some point all the options and risks.
But if it failed I would be devastated. :(

I would think (or at least hope) they take a lot of precautions to make sure failures in that kinda thing are an extreme minimum, cause it'd devastate basically anyone in that situation.
I know that. I'm just letting Inufin know why once-a-day doses aren't sufficient.
rio is best help in this thread
im gonna half my doses and take em 12/12. this is weird as i never considered this but now it all makes sense as i already knew that spiro effects only for 12 hours and so on... silly me
anyway im dying as im learning new things rip in pieces nana

obviously i have cried myself to sleep countless times not having a chance to ever give birth to my child but i still think i dont want to bring up a new person to this over populated hell hole filled with pain and suffering so i rather adopt someone who is already here and make a already existing person happy.
To those suffering womb-envy (most likely including myself) or whatever the term is that someone is going to invent and be really anal about policing, do NOT watch Prometheus. In fact, nobody watch Prometheus, it's not a good use for your time.
Also talky-people appointment tomorrow, or today for those who live in the GMT zone (most definitely inculding myself).
everybody hates prometheus so much that i must watch it
only my ex liked it and she never likes movies
The only person I know who liked prometheus is notorious for liking shit films.
Not shit like transformers. Shit like low budget horror movies.
transformers isnt shit... its not good either but stuff like that is fun to watch

I just watched Cloud Atlas the other night, it was really cool. I was going to bring it up earlier because I thought it was relevant to this thread. If you haven't seen it, go fix that. If you have seen it see it again because it's one of those movies.
Also my second therapist appointment is tomorrow AND I FORGOT WHERE IT IS OH NO
nana you're so full of gay
If I can afford to buy my own HRT stuff, self-medding, should I? Or is that likely to upset therapists later down the line? I don't think I'll go the NHS route. I'm in the UK.
Curious because obviously the sooner I can start HRT the better.

i personally am taking HRT already which i ordered myself and then I have to go the NHS route. Why not start hormones already and do it trough there later eh?
Because I read in a previous thread the NHS don't like that and will never let you on their pathway if you do that. Need confirmation, I really really want hormones but I really don't want to screw myself out of FFS and eventually SRS.
[editline]15th November 2012[/editline]
Actually if you've ordered HRT I assume you've been smart enough to talk to your GP about it. What did they say?

Well here in Finland I told my doctors at the NHS that I am taking hormones and they all are like "oh, well you know there are risks, right? - well you are an adult it is your decision we cant stop you" even tough its illegal to buy and use them without prescription but seems like that they understand.
but yeah i cant confirm that every doctor will take it the same way, but at least everyone who i talked to have been positive except for one granny doctor who wouldn't even understand what transgender means

That's the new movie by the Wachowskis isn't it? What's it about?

a'ite I'll just ask them myself
In the US, self-medding is basically a sure-fire way of getting on HRT. Most of the doctors consider it irresponsible of themselves not to treat you at that point. I wish I did that myself.
That's the new movie by the Wachowskis isn't it? What's it about?
Yeah it's by them. It's like 6 short films that share the same actors playing different roles set it different time periods and all in different genres. They're all edited together so it makes sense and flows well and the movie as a whole is about reincarnation.

So it's Blackadder Goes Forth? :v

Any HRT experts here that may be able to grant me some info regarding different types of meds or perhaps a site that may cover a lot?

WOA THANKS! I'll keep this in my bookmarks to refer to and show to curious friends.
Found some actual girls clothes in my cupboard today from ages ago. You know you're a tomboy when you're embarrassed to wear actual girls clothes outside of your own room in front of your parents :v: Finally getting over my sort of GID and 100% now accepted my girly body and actually enjoy it now (sheesh that took a while)

No problem!
As it says though if you do wish to self medicate always check the sources and do your own reading too, but I find for the most part it to be a good link :3
(also heya, I've been lurking for a while :p)
Greetings, Sir Backsalot.

That'd be Miss to you, or Madame in that context.
Maybe one day I'll put up some images in me in more decent clothing so I can get votes and generally feel better about myself :p
