Advertising isn't cheap, and chances are only FPers would listen anyway - or so they say they would, i wouldn't, and most of the ones who say they would won't either - so the whole idea would be destined to fail. I used to DJ for internet radio all the time. At it's peak I was playing to 350+ listeners. But on a bad day I would be playing to 12 people, and thats just depressing. It takes a LOT more work than you think. You can't just have DJs wander in and play when they feel like otherwise you never build a fanbase. You need at least a basic sort of schedule even if it's just a day in advance. Otherwise people will just lose interest very quickly. It needs more than "we'll play music and say stuff lol" It needs to be relevant to the community to become part of it.

Do you use sc_trans or how that stuff is called (excuse my noobiness, i come from the real radio with antennas and that shit), so we could basically have a base of 10 people which could just connect in when the autodj is playing and do their live program until they get sick of it or someone else wants to.

How about we just set up a stream and feed the audio DJ with your generic top40 stuff, get together some djs, give them accounts to access the stream and just let the people stream. Of course we could set in some fixed points like er... news? And we would have to aircheck the DJs. We don't need no dumbshits with poor mics talking right over the music without paying attention to ramp times and that sort of stuff.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. Anyway, I've been going on 17hr DJ sessions. I may not be there the whole time, but at least it's up.

Could easily be done with different people having half an hour/2 hour slots to fill in. Just needs listeners.

To cover for the wide range of tastes that people have, why not have seperate "sessions" so for example, at 6-7pm, it could be Rock Hour and from 7-8, Metal or whatever. It could be worked out so that one DJ who listens to a certain type of music could be the DJ for those types - eg. a person that listens to alot of prog and rock and whatnot, DJ's those types in periods close to each other?
