Sorry for bump. Devin did 2 gigs at the Tuska festival in Finland. First one was a world exlcusive Ziltoid gig and the next one was a normal Devin Townsend Project gig. Both were really awesome and can't wait him to come back to Finland!
You bastard, you saw the Ziltoid gig. Fucking rage man.
Saw him with BTBAM, Cynic, and Scale the Summit. Good music, Bought some of his other albums.
Another post in the long list of musicians that I should get into I love what I've heard of him
he's amazing I fucking love him. He's guest starring in Bloodstock, I SERIOUSLY WANT TO GO
You bastard, you saw the Ziltoid gig. Fucking rage man.
And I tell you, it was one of the most awesome gigs I've ever been in. Just to give you a taste of it =) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-Lt5e70AcQ Also, awesome video quality!

I love the Ziltoid album, and Ki, but I can't get into addicted for some reason
Ziltoid, Ki and Accelerated Evolution are the shit. He was also fucking amazing in the small parts he did on The Human Equation by Ayreon
Suck that fag nipples! Haha amazing! I love the Ziltoid album, and Ki, but I can't get into addicted for some reason
At first I didn't really get into addicted either. But after seeing him perform the songs live and listening to it more, I learned to love it. :)
It's amazing how many albums the guy puts out and how 99% of everything he touches turns to gold. I think the only "stain" he's ever had was Physicist. If it was anyone but him, that album would have been great, but he has made so much better. Infinity is my favorite Devin album of the moment. Also, fuck you Irma. I shit myself when I read about him at that festival. I would have killed cops and kids to see that.

Granted, the songs aren't as good as on other albums, but it's definitely not a crap album (not that I'm accusing you of saying so) Ocean Machine is definitely my favourite album by him

Oooooh wooooow
Man, Townsend is so damn creative, and that was seriously complex stuff. I mean, I'm no good with software like that but damn that had A LOT in it for 5 minutes.
After being in the Ziltoid gig and the regular one, I just can't get enough of this guy! He is just so god damn awesome! [editline]11:28AM[/editline]
Also, fuck you Irma. He said it took about 4 months of work to get everything working right. And no wonder, there was some complex stuff going on on the stage.
listening to Ziltoid for the first time... this is some of the greatest music I have ever heard...
The only album made SYL that I could say I gave a proper listen was The New Black. I remember that I tried to categorize and put an specific genre on it, but it was impossible. The New Black was a Thrash/Groove mets Prog and Industrial. I was quite pleased. I think this album represents what new 21st century metal should be.
I started this thread a while ago and still haven't listened to any DTB. I've been listening to quite a bit of SYL though. I want a seven so i can learn Decimator :(
