Aswell as certain countries, such as Australia, we're getting "smart" meters now....
Just checked my house was just built this year couldn't find what was described in OP's post. Live in Australia to btw.
This thread is going to kill people.
This is just for americans, there in EU we don't have meters that stick out of the wall, many are still outside but are inside walls so you can't cut anything to get inside.
This is just for americans, there in EU we don't have meters that stick out of the wall, many are still outside but are inside walls so you can't cut anything to get inside.
this is also for canadians, if you've heard about them
You'd probably have some trouble reaching those power lines. Try this: [img_thumb]http://i46.tinypic.com/10wvfgj.jpg[/img_thumb]
whatever that is it looks fucking badass

How to blow up a fuse What you will need: A lightbulb Lightbulb's socket A coin Unscrew the bulb, put the coin in the socket and put the bulb back. When lights are turned on, the fuse will blow up.
:foxnews: BREAKING NEWS ! TERRORIST GROUP "FACEPUNCH" TEACHES KIDS HOW TO SABOTAGE BUILDING ! Is this homebrew terrorist or is Obama behind this ? More at 11 :foxnews:
If you forget to pay the power bill you could also pop the meter off and put in a thick cable in for free electricity.

Not a bad thread. But if you didn't already know how to do it, you probably shouldn't try.
Is it really that likely to get fried? I'm thinking on just bringing gloves if it is probable.
Is it really that likely to get fried? I'm thinking on just bringing gloves if it is probable.
It's not likely if you don't reach behind it, don't do it in rain, etc., but it's definitely probable. Better safe than sorry.
So if you only touch the meter, it won't kill you? And would a hardware store contain insulated gloves? For "educational purposes" only.
Haha I'm gonna save this in case I get any annoying neighbours in future. Oh wait, is this for US electrics? I'm in the UK
You'd probably have some trouble reaching those power lines. Try this: [img_thumb]http://i46.tinypic.com/10wvfgj.jpg[/img_thumb]
Borderlands? Is that you?
If you forget to pay the power bill you could also pop the meter off and put in a thick cable in for free electricity.
Surely this can easyly be found out about ? and what KIND of cable
I am actually going to try this at some point.
I am actually going to try this at some point.
But it's For Educational Purposes Only.
Does pouring a bucket of water on the thing works too ?
Does pouring a bucket of water on the thing works too ?
It works... as a suicide method.
It works... as a suicide method.
What about throwing ?
Top Tip: This is impossible to do in the UK (at least on residential premises, not sure about commercial) because the meters look like this: You can go ahead and cut the wires if you like, but make sure you've got an egg on your head and a slice of toast to fall onto.
Surely this can easyly be found out about ? and what KIND of cable
Any cable that can conduct electricity, but it should be thick enough so the current doesn't burn it.
Plus UK ones are all inside.
Plus UK ones are all inside.
Nope Even mine is outside (not my picture, but you get the idea). They're locked with a large-bit triangle key.
Mine's in a cupboard in my sister's room, not on the outside of my house.
Good to know :smug:
Nope [img_thumb]http://tscp.open.ac.uk/t152/docs/T152install/images/Meter_cabinet.jpg[/img_thumb] Even mine is outside (not my picture, but you get the idea). They're locked with a large-bit triangle key.
I have one of these, and so does everyone on my street. I think the key is the same for them all, its a yellow plastic triangle key.
