There is no better word for it, it is so generic. Although pretty.
"So yeah, uhm, for the title, I was thinking maybe something with like, fighter, and stuff, and war. Yeah, that will be a great title"
What's Captain Price doing in Medal of Honor?
Is there someway to actually contact the developer/publisher and ask them "Do you really believe you're bringing something new to the table? If so, what?"
God dammit, all this terrorism everywhere except Israel Come on guys, we've got loads of em here
The cover art's gonna be a soldier walking toward the viewer from a cloud of smoke/ warzone, calling it right now.
I don't even care if we're the bad guys, just make a video game that takes place in Israel already
Man, it makes me so sad that the WWII shooter golden age died when it did. Imagine how amazing a new Medal of Honor set back then would be with current tech. I mean, I really enjoy Airborne still, and I think a new WWII FPS is just what we need.
FPS these days have turned into the equivalent of dubstep, which of course means either the creators don't know how unoriginal they are being or they are just ripping as much as they can from other popular shooters.
Battlefield 3.5

Most of the WW2 games that were made are arcade-like, and people keep saying that enough WW2 games have been made so we'll never see something like that on an updated engine. Red Orchestra 2 does Stalingrad well, and it takes a decent amount of strategy to help your team win. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline]
What the fuck? It's one of my larger interests, and I usually enjoy anything related to WW2. As one person's opinion hopefully along with other WW2 fanatics, I want to see more WW2 games on today's technology.
I want to see more Vietnam war FPS games
Frostbite 2 combined with World war 2 is something I would be looking up to. But for now, Red Orchestra 2 which is goddamn good.
I don't even care if we're the bad guys, just make a video game that takes place in Israel already
OK, so I've been thinking about an Idea- Let's say you want to make a game that at least partially takes place in Israel, and you want to base it in modern day- You don't want to base it on previous wars (which would be kind of awesome actually, switching perspective between the Israeli side and the Egyptian/Syrian side on the six day war/yom kippur war), and you also don't want to make the bad guys anyone particular (no Palestinian milita, no IDF, no Iran etc.) What kind of plot can you make? Well, here's my Idea Basically, the baddies are an international terrorist group who wants to, I don't know, take over the world, or get nukes, or bomb MERICA I dunno Anyway, They try to establish their position in the Gaza Strip and increse their military power there substantially. Hamas doesn't like how another organization is trying to take them over, so they covertly contact Israel to take out their leaders and infrastructure in exchange for... I dunno I haven't figured that out yet, And you play as an Israeli special forces unit dropped in there. Now I know this doesn't really makes sense since we would usually just use a helicopter or something, But neither do most action games, so FUCK IT, I JUST WANT A GAME THAT TAKES PLACE HERE GOD DAMMIT [editline]12th April 2012[/editline] Oh or you could swap Hamas with the PLO and the Gaza strip with the West Bank and you can have a car chase on the road to the dead sea That would be sweet

The closest I ever got was a half assed Arma 2 mod.
fuck, medal of honor get your shit together does anyone remember allied assault?
I've been wanting a game where you play as the IDF for a long time. The closest I ever got was a half assed Arma 2 mod.
You can try Project Reality if you have BF2. The IDF is in there.
Wish they would make a S.W.A.T 5. Love games in real life locales like Diners and Gastations etc. If the new CoD is based in a gastation I would buy
Debut gameplay trailer. Doesn't show the player actually doing anything. I think that tells me just about everything I need to know about what kind of game this is.
Yawn.
Is that Frostbite 2? Looks a lot like it, with the flares from lights and stuff.
It said "Frostbite 2" in the first 5 seconds of the trailer. This looks cool if you don't think of it as Modern Warfare on Battlefield 3's engine. [editline]13th April 2012[/editline]
fuck, medal of honor get your shit together does anyone remember allied assault?
Frontline <3 I feel like the industry realized it had beaten WWII to death and is now moving on to "modern" times to beat it to death.
Imagine a game stationed in the russia-afghanistan guerilla war.
Why don't they just make a fps like this set in the future, you could make it on whatever the hell you want. Oh wait then they'd have to make a plot more complex than russian/terrorists get nuke ---> find nuke ---> get nuke back.
I feel like the industry realized it had beaten WWII to death and is now moving on to "modern" times to beat it to death.
The industry realized super generic modern shooters sell more.
Rising Sun was amazing, I still have the special edition tin, looks like their just fucking the franchise now
oh how the mighty have fallen I'll miss you, Medal of Honor franchise
The amount of modurrn shootan is overwhelming
Because this isn't a rehash of Modern Warfare 3 at all
It's a shame, Medal of Honour used to be the shit back in the day.
