I want them to go back to World War II because Medal of Honour belongs in that era.
Couldn't they at least set the game a few years in the future and give it a "future war" feel? You'll still get tactic00lness of the call of duty that they're ripping off, but it won't look like a copy as much.
medal of honor will never be at home in any era besides WWII
FPS these days have turned into the equivalent of dubstep, which of course means either the creators don't know how unoriginal they are being or they are just ripping as much as they can from other popular shooters.
someone doesnt know about personal tastes *cough* you *cough* get out.
Make the campaign more than eight hours and don't make the final boss a door.
What? I need explanation on this.
What? I need explanation on this.
If I remember, all you have to do to get to Makarov is open a door and then you go to a roof that's straight off mirror's edge, then you have to press X to win. Then you light a cigar.
What the fuck? Wasn't everyone whining about WWII shooters up until the point they stopped making them?
Yep. Six years ago, right before COD 4 was released, everyone was complaining about how there were too many WWII shooters, and modern shooters were the future. Now it's flip-flopped. Personally, I'd rather see more of Vietnam and/or the era it's based in.
yeah, jtf2
Looks ok.
Make the game realistic. Having a guy use Comms Berevity during a cutscene does not make a game realistic. Human waves that keep coming at you until you step on a certain magical spot in the game world is not realistic, either
Philippines? Fuck. Knowing how stereotyping works, my people would be turned into bullet sponges. As if the movie Act of Valor wasn't bad enough

i love how everyone is saying "omg just make a fuckin ww2 game or a nam game i hate modern warfare now" are you all too young to remember the early 2000s with any kind of memory other than that seen through rose-tinted glasses? developers stopped making ww2 games because everyone got fucking tired of them. we got like 3 every year since the first medal of honour and most of them sucked developers tried to get on the nam bandwagon too but the vast majority of the vietnam games were awful in honesty, i too would like to see a world war 2 epic on an engine like frostbite 2 but at the end of the day you know it's going to be a corridor crawling shooter with buckets of scripted actions and quick-time events just like.... oh... um... all of the world war 2 shooters from your childhood that you love? be realistic please if you want something that is ww2 and not a shit rail-shooter just go and buy a brothers in arms game
I don't recall ever whining about the large influx of WW2 games, I always appreciate good WW2-era video games no matter how many there are.
because you were like 13 at the time? i don't think with our rosy view of late 90s/early 2000s games we realise entirely just how many shitty games there were. there were far too many ww2 games and not enough of them of any decent quality
because you were like 13 at the time?
Explain to me how that actually matters?
I don't recall ever whining about the large influx of WW2 games, I always appreciate good WW2-era video games no matter how many there are.
Keyword here "I". Others have started to get sick of the same setting for games and wanted something new, making a majority thus developers moved on to other settings for their games
Explain to me how that actually matters?
because you were a dumb kid and you loved everything you spent money on/your folks spent money on anything new was good by "everyone" i meant the actual target markets at the time and journalists
That trailer is so TEXTBOOK BRR BRR GLITCH NOISES Captain price ducking from cover BANG BANG SLOWMO SHIT BLOWING UP AND LIGHT IN MY EYES Blood spatter Adrenaline fueled car scene in a MG

I would buy this once the price go down. Cause this game has the same worth as any other Michael bay movie.
because you were a dumb kid and you loved everything you spent money on/your folks spent money on anything new was good by "everyone" i meant the actual target markets at the time and journalists
You should stop making assumptions about people you met on the internet.
We need more games from the other wars. Like WWI or Civil War. [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] On second thought, WWI would be pretty boring. Trench Simulator.
For me personally when I hear Medal of honor I think of allied assault, played it a lot in my childhood
I just played through the first two missions 5 minutes ago before I found this thread. Clearly Medal of Honor has seen better days [editline]15th April 2012[/editline]
We need more games from the other wars. Like WWI or Civil War.
Anglo-Zanzibar war game? 30 minutes of gameplay and 8 minutes of cinematics.
We need more games from the other wars. Like WWI or Civil War. [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] On second thought, WWI would be pretty boring. Trench Simulator.
Tap X repeatedly to change socks
On second thought, WWI would be pretty boring. Trench Simulator.
They could make it work..... Directing the charges and tactics so your victory in the campaign isn't scripted, tanks would be nice to see also, and the artillery barrages would be Awesome if done right, and doing night raids to capture prisoners.
You should stop making assumptions about people you met on the internet.
if you were younger than 15 between the years of 1997-2002 then you were a dumb kid like every other dumb kid sorry
If they did a WWII game at least they'd be doing something different. Instead they seem to be following the generic trends right down to the game's name. What's next, Medal of Honour: Gun Shooter?
if you were younger than 15 between the years of 1997-2002 then you were a dumb kid like every other dumb kid sorry
Because you obviously know everything about me and my past. I'm not even gonna continue this discussion with you because it's stupid.
