Networking affects how quickly the packets get there. CPU power affects how many get there.

You also appear to be extremely unsocial because normal people don't brag about there problems.
I think you took this the wrong way. I wasn't bragging about having a disorder.
Though I was trying to prove that I'm not an idiot.
Ludus hears a few words and thinks he knows what they're all about.
I'm just gonna facepalm that.
They're spoofed source query packets. Without blocking query packets entirely, you need a UDP proxy that will reply to them with something cached or an addon or plug-in on the server that can handle them.
Obviously the CPU plays a small role in it, but honestly as long as they have anything better than a Pentium III the power of the CPU won't be able to send any greater amount of packets.

Better CPUs can handle the program creating more threads.

I understand that, I'm also saying that you seem unsocial.

It was a bad idea for you to admit you are 12.
An average CPU today would be able to handle creating enough packets to fill reach the capacity of their bandwidth.
I understand that, I'm also saying that you seem unsocial.
I'm apparently really weird. I can't figure out how, besides the fact that I have severe anxiety (figured that was really the only reason why).
You'd be surprisingly spot on. Sucks to admit that.
It's nothing to do with CPU at all.
Nice thread I think that these kids are going down quite hard if they used their own computers with out proxy or such. Hell just copy the IP address and you got your self enough evidence to go to the ISP and report them. After the ISP has confirmed the DOS then you can sue them for whatever. The only thing is to get the originating IP then have enough evidence that they are performing a DOS.
I think that I need to get some popcorn this thread could get interesting.

Best thing is to not blame it on genetics and just get used to it.
You aren't born social its just a skill you obtain by talking to people. Most kids stop being weird because they are made fun of at an early age and then stop doing what caused the harassment.
Even if this didn't happen for you, just keep talking to people and you will get a hang of it eventually.
I'm also proud of you for not answering to that by getting upset, shows that you can take criticism, which is a part of being social.

Whoops, didn't really consider that.

I have severe anxiety aswell, but it doesn't make me act like a complete social retard.
I think you have aspergers.

In my post I talked about how it is pointless to blame it on genetics, he probably was just never taught that how he was acting was seen in the eye of the society as weird.
I'm not saying how you act is wrong, just that in order to be social you would want to correct this, and being social is kind of important.
Its funny that this went from DDoS attack -> Flaming script kiddies -> Proving some idiot who think he knows everything wrong -> Genetics.
God, I love facepunch. :I

Hey, I've successfully de-railed this thread into a discussion about unsocial people.

Actually, I spent 4 years behind that very belief, thinking that somehow I had failed in making myself more social. Then I started to realize that I had a completely different perspective on life and thinking patterns than other people. I blame this on being dropped on my head like 3 times as a kid, along with cracking open my skull at the age of 4.
It's actually shocking you posted this when you did.

Its not uncommon for different thinking patterns, I'm sure everyone thinks differently. However this doesn't account for much in sociality. The basics are just knowing what to say, but obviously if you get into a deep conversation with someone you're "different" thinking pattern will make it harder for you to get your point across because of your language not being able to classify your ideas.
Point being you should just learn what to say/not say from practice, and avoid deep conversations with people who won't understand your perspective. (Employers)
