The real man's fix for skiddies attacking your server:
Get their IP, add them on Steam and then tell them it.
If you don't have their IP, add them on Steam, boot up wireshark and sniff their IP using VOIP packets.
Don't stop the server, that's the POINT of a DDoS, it's to make your server unavailable. If they're crashing the server, they won, if you shut down the server, they won. Just ask Xenon if they have iptables installed or whatever and block these IPs. It they'e got dynamic IPs, though luck, way for it to end.

Not a way to promote a community, also I got a dos attack shortly after on my own connection. Nice SYN attacks bro, really easy to stop.
Don't know if my logs are good enough or not, but I got them during the attack, so I don't know.
