I recommend that you try moving things about, it can make it look much bigger. So do mirrors, not only do they increase the amount of light you get in your room (I don't really need one for that, my room's window face the sun throughout the whole day), but it can make your room look bigger if placed correctly.
lose the posters., hide the cuddly toys and have it a single colour.
Less furniture is better
a double bed, and tv is all you need
