Metro 2034 assumingly?
That was Last Light, so no.
I thought this was not a stare down but due to the fact that the librarians are nearly blind and thus rely on sound (hence the name). So if you are right in front of them and don't make any noise, they would just stand still and wait for you to reveal your position.
Librarians are not blind. They can see clear as day.
That was Last Light, so no.
Last Light had nothing to do with 2034
Last Light had nothing to do with 2034
Last Light is Metro 2034 with a different name.
Last Light is Metro 2034 with a different name.
That's funny because the stories of the two are nothing alike
That's funny because the stories of the two are nothing alike
Last Light does still take place in 2034 though, it just follows Artyom instead of the other protagonists. They most likely changed the game's name so it wouldn't be assumed that it follows the book.
Isn't Metro 3 going to be closer to the books this time?

What I'm trying to say is simply: you're wrong. The third game may follow the story of the 2034 book, but the game will not be called "Metro 2034" because it will not be set in 2034.
Just because it is in 2034 doesn't mean it is "Metro 2034", that is an entirely different story. The new Metro game most likely wont follow the 2034 book, it seems more likely they'd want to continue the story of Artyom and the Rangers.
I'm replaying 2033, I've just got to the Library. After playing Last Light it feels like I've drank a litre of vodka and stuck my hands in ice for 10 mins. The aiming is bloody horrible. On the plus side, I have ~750 5.45 rounds so it isn't as much of an issue. One thing that really bothered me about 2033, and I'm not sure if this was fixed in LL, is the fact that when you reload the auto shotgun you can't cycle it either manually or automatically to load that 6th round if you're down to the last 2 in the "magazine".

the reload of that one gun is like the single most technically complicated thing in any piece of metro fiction
Don't get me wrong, I think the weapon design is awesome, but if Artyom has the sense and reaction to bolt it during firing when it hits an empty chamber, he can load that empty chamber before it becomes inaccessible. One easy but wasteful way to do it is just fire a round and reload but I shouldn't have to resort to that. I know it's really minor but that's one of the few flaws I can find with the games in general, other than the terrible aiming in 33. Unless I'm an idiot and you can hold R to reload all of them before he bolts it, then load the empty one.
