Relax.
You should look around before coming here to post nonsense. I asked for that in the OP, you clearly didn't read.

It's the third time people are pointing this out.
Quit going offtopic on a masterpiece of a thread.
Am I the only who seems to think all the aged 40-50+ politicans of old are desperately trying to hang onto what values they believe in left, as society has essentially left them behind? You've got America being gripped by the balls by the right wing Christians, you've got this old cunt in Italy who's practically a modern dictator, and half of the countries of the world are falling into this two party democracy trap. Honestly, the Middle East has this shit right. One of these days, a western country is going to have massive protests, and it'll cause the same sort of reaction the liberal revolutions of the late 1840s did.
This is completely normal, everyone hates one's country for a specfic reason.

I read the op in Mario's voice
Berlusconi is a templar. I'm sure he'll get stabbed or something sooner or later.

Should have been a perma, he is a revoked GM after all.
I honestly would love to say "yeah, I fuckin' hate that shit too, man" but honestly there are few, if any, American politicians who would even think of pulling Berlusconi's shit. I can honestly say I do not fully understand, nor comprehend, how you truly feel. It's not really my place to say how Italy should be run, but I do understand corruption and that it ought not to be tolerated to any degree, despite most people turning away as it happens. Believe me, I have sympathy for you, TerabyteS and I wish Italy would pull it's head out of it's ass and clean house, if only for the sake of your sanity.
its ok i hate italy too

I wish for that too, but sadly the chances of this ever happening are close to none. And you're right, I've never heard of any other leader in the contemporary world doing this sort of stuff.
This sounds a lot like what's happening back in New Zealand.
I can relate. I moved over to Australia because New Zealand is going down the shithole because of the people who run it. Sounds like Italy is worse because they don't even try to hide it. In New Zealand its "Oh I passed a law that the US backed and paid for for corporate interests? I'll go do a few photo ops and crack some shitty jokes. Maybe that will distract the population from the crippling high cost of living and the high unemployment rate. Hey banks you want a tax break? Have a tariff wave as well"

I see the problem mister Original Poster, your country needs better goverment! But it wont change until EU collapses, witch will be pretty soon i think.
Hope things work out in the future. But hey, on the bright side, you Italians can grow a beard in mere seconds :v:

Italy needs a Brutus
Fuck, this thread is depressing.
Saw the title, knew it would be Italy.
This is deep stuff man, but I saw the thread title and thought it would be about England, if i'm honest.
I actually feel the same, but I can easily live with it though.
But, if you do feel like moving out your home country, then I hope you find a much better one.
I wonder if Italy should break up back to city states..
You guys better not bomb Rome. Gonna go there in 8 months or something.
Tonight my dad came home all angry and outraged. I asked him why he was like that and he said that on the way home he was listening to a radio station where they were interviewing people about their thoughts on Berlusconi's words (the ones the OP is about). He said that 2 out of 4 people were able to defend him.
One of the two who defended him said that he's a benevolent man and the money he gave Valter Lavitola was not because of his blackmail towards him, but because Valter's family suffered from economical problems and Berlusconi felt like giving him a helping hand.
The other person said that he (the person, not Berlusconi) has to evade taxes because his firm would make less money without doing that.
Please take a moment to realize what kind of people live in Italy.
I'm ready to bet that Berlusconi (or one of his henchmen) will be re-elected in the near future. Italians are that dumb. And that's also why I want to live. I'm not one of them.
Start a revolution. The young inspire change. Get together with fellow friends and protest.
Start a revolution. The young inspire change. Get together with fellow friends and protest.
The Greeks and the Italians are apparently rather infamous in their handling of protests. I would be very careful, and remember: safety and power in numbers. Make sure none of the protestors are armed, don't give them an excuse.

Also, prepare the guillotines!
Future is the utopia we've all been brainwashed about by the television. There is no future. It's all just an endless, repeating chain. As Berlusconi came and went, somebody else as worth as him will soon succeed him, like it happened with him.
He's the one that made me think that Italy was a shit hole, no offence.
