I actually think a human voice would fit him better.
I think she likes you
Hurr
When I saw a video with someone at e3 playing Portal 2 with Wheatley I thought for the longest time some guy was just talking in the background, trying to sound like him and failing. Then I realized that it was his real voice, which made me kind of pissed and
His voice is a placeholder.
oh thank god.
Holy shit. I bet that level of closeness to the detail events in the game is not fake.
I bet this "Wheatley" will pull an Atlas and betray you after you've been "helping" enough :v:
It's awesome. :)
Can't wait for the game now, it's going to be fantastic.
Definitely needs to sound more robotic like the turrets and GLaDOS. It doesn't make any sense if they talk robotic and he speaks completely normal.
Loadsa money.
No, it's not a placeholder, Valve confirmed that they would keep this voice actor.
I guess this thing is the Justin Bieber for Facepunch.
Animators doing voiceacting ?
Actually yes. In fact, have you ever watched the Pixar film "Ratatouille"? Most of the voice parts in it were done by Pixar animators.

Actually it would make pretty good sense. Think of it this way, the employees of aperture made an AI and it gave them details and stuff. Would you rather have it sound robotic where it's harder to understand or would you have him speak normal and it becomes much easier to understand. Though i don't know what Wheatley does in the labs and test chambers it's still better to have.
Loadsa money.
ahahaha I thought the same fucking thing.
I want him to say "It's rainin' muhnay!"
Can We get a really angry Irish Wheatley instead?
Can't fucking wait.

Wheatly might be an upgrade, but either way, I love the voice.
i'd have a beer with wheatley any day.
The voiceactor is fine, it just needs more of a robotic sound to it and it's good.
Oh Valve you do it again... Nice Work VALVE.
Can't wait for the game to come out. Although they should make the voice more robotic.
wow he reminds me of tim roth (who I'd prefer actually)

Is there a reason why some people is rating late when it's been uploaded today?
I dunno about you non-brits, but I could kinda tell that there was some really BAD voice acting. Like he wasn't even playing the part right and it sounded forced. I like the idea and his voice, but some parts need to be re-recorded because it just sounded awful.
He IS a PERSONALITY CORE. The accent adds to his PERSONALITY.

but the bad acting doesn't
but the bad acting doesn't
or does it
"Would you kindly pop a portal over there?"
Was a man sent to get cake? Or was a slave? A man makes the cake. A slave doesn't. [Obligotory BioShock refence over] I'm REALLY glad it's only a placeholder. Although I do like Wheatly's LINES. "No, no thank you. We're good!" And "I think she likes you!"
English accent makes him ten times more likable.
I like his accent.
She has that really werid voice,
English accent makes him ten times more likable.
It would if he didn't sound like he walked out of a Harry Potter movie. Just tone it down a bit. A wee bit is all.
