I'm worried. GLaDoS might make us kill Wheatley. :ohdear:
It would if he didn't sound like he walked out of a Harry Potter movie. Just tone it down a bit. A wee bit is all.
But British people are adorable! :3:
Add a hint of robotic and it would be perfect. The voice is too clear and precise.
Maybe Wheatley gets super pissed at you, but then reconciles with you when he sees, after a few tests, that GLaDOS is still batty. Then again, he did say she was a "nasty piece of work." Maybe he didn't like her in the first place.

Which makes me wonder how many personality cores are in this game like Wheatley. Random companions always make the experience more fun. Also, I'm fine with his current voice (just needs a bit of a filter, not a lot), and his voice acting is A LOT better than some other games.
The turrets in this game are just too adorable :3:
Guess 'oo! They sound so similar.

I sense humor in Portal 2.
what? I remmeber seeing this a few weeks ago
Dosh.
Definitely needs to sound more robotic like the turrets and GLaDOS. It doesn't make any sense if they talk robotic and he speaks completely normal.
Despite being more realistic (:v:) it would probably make the game conversations a bit stiff. I think Valve will find that having personalities of characters contrast against eachother is more important.
what? I remmeber seeing this a few weeks ago
You remember seeing this in low-quality and not distributed by valve. This is the first time Valve uploads the source file directly to youtube.
That animation is pure sex and I think Wheately's voice fits him relatively well
One of the things that really struck me in this video is the new source engine. It looks fucking awesome, especially with no more baked shadows.
I can't wait until this comes out. It looks like it's going to be fantastic.
That... was.... EPIC!!!!!
Looks really good considering its source, a game engine over 6 years old
I hope they keep his voice.
If you guys seriously don't get that his voice acting is horrible, maybe you'd like to read it from the man himself.
I like his voice, but I guess you can't please everyone, including the man himself.
finally your not phyically alone in portal

Thing is that he's never gonna say I'M BETTER THAN VOICE ACTORS
pop a por al over thar
Dear valve. I demand a talking wheatley plushy or toy. That is all.
Seen this over a week before.
The way he pronounces his esses reminds me of Andy from Little Britain.
Portal 2 doesn't look promising at all...
