Das bc it's only a month yo [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] you'll see changes it just takes time but you can def be proud of your gains
Ok, I was worried I fucked something up, BTW, can I bulk with 2200-2500 calories per day, with about 150g protein? Because with a 3x a week routine like strong lifts, I'm thinking that 3000 cals per day/7 days a week will make me fat as fuck.
IDR what your schedule is like so you may be fucking something up. That's a very small amount of calories for a bulk. The protein intake seems ok, though. How much do you weigh?
I weigh 142. StrongLifts 5x5 Workout A Squat 5x5 Bench Press 5x5 Barbell Rows 5x5 Workout B Squat 5x5 Overhead 5x5 D/L 1x5
i'd up the calorie intake. That's a p good plan. Stick with it.
even on my off days? And carbs?
I'd say even on your off days too. Off days should have some sort of activity like cardio or some shit any way. Carbs are p necessary too but eating sandwiches relatively frequently and pasta every once in a while should cover the bases in that dept. In modern day it's p hard to not get enough carbs
Ok, I'll start up with the cardio again on tues thurs and sunday.

Stop calculating, just eat every two three hours, slap some balony in between two pieces of toast or whatever and you'll be fine with less of a headache.
I stick with mid upper back region. Resting it on the shoulders is dumb for several reasons.
hurts like a bitch when resting it on the bones, i don't understand why anyone does it.

I'm with Seith, that is a bit much protein.
What is this bros? Yesterday it was back day, and I couldn't do the max weight I usually do. Am I losing strength because I'm cutting? My back had a whole week recovery time, and it failed me. :saddowns: I'm trying to cut as much as I can before my birthday in a week, so I can have a fucking pizza without guilt on that day.

You're on a deficit. Though, if you're losing strength you're probably doing something wrong. 2ndly, stop having guilt. You won't get far if you're guilty about stuff that don't really matter.
Yuh fuk guilt, mang. Just do work.
Hmm, should consider buying those 15kg plates to increase deadlift, currently loading the max I can fit on the bar and the reps aren't THAT hard. I'm just TOO EFFING LAZY to go to the store. Maybe I should test their home delivary system. Did squats and military presses with 25 kgs and deadlifts with 79kg. Abs hurt from yesterday's workout at physiotheraphy.
I've been doing a lot of leg press lately, and I've been doing: 10 10 10 at 180 lbs (81.5 kg) and then 10 10 at 205 lbs (93 kg). It's not hard or painful at all until I get lower than a 90° angle with my thighs and calves, and I never struggle to push the weight back to the top. Should I raise my weight and go for less sets, or is this good?
stop doing leg press it's pussy shit especially at such low weight
leg press is fine 3x10 isnt
squats still beat it by a mile
lol ok whys that
lol @legpress i haven't leg pressed in years, haven't felt better all bout dem squats, aesthetics, size, functional strength and being a swole bastard with come with them
squats still beat it by a mile
They exist for a reason. Machines aren't as bad as you think they are. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline]
lol @legpress i haven't leg pressed in years, haven't felt better all bout dem squats, aesthetics, size, functional strength and being a swole bastard with come with them
I cannot seem to comprehend what you've said.
Do both?!
stop doing leg press it's pussy shit especially at such low weight
Why the fuck does it matter? Oh wait, you're probably one of those people who go into gyms and grunt while you lift, and judge people for working out at their own level, the way they want. I'm not a bodybuilder dipshit, and I'm trying to get in better shape for track. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] And yes, I do squat as well. About 70kg right now. I do a lot of stuff. But to whoever said 3x10 was wrong, what do you suggest?
whats wrong with grunting while working out? sounds to me, like NotMeh sorta said, you're working at too low of a weight if you want to build muscle, lose fat - get "in better shape", you have to blast your muscles to exhaustion bro - if you're doing 3x10, maintaining the same amount of reps in the third set, shows you aren't doing enough reps when you able to do more - Don't stop lifting when your mind says "this is tiring, stop it", you keep going until your muscles are burning in agony, until you can do no more - then DO MORE!
Well, I was just surprised to get a "lol fuk legpress" response. And so if I understood you, I should add weight until I can't do anymore reps?
Do the sets so that you're struggling with the last rep. You may need to change the weigh down inbetween each set to be able to finish. Don't expect to get up the same weigh in the last set as you do in the first (unless you rest a long time inbetween the sets).

I'm p sure i put that in the OP it's short so you should read it <3 [editline]8th June 2011[/editline]
Do the sets so that you're struggling with the last rep. I understand that sharply exhaling helps, I do it too, I'm talking about unnecessarily loud grunting, hahah. And I think I'll try for 270 lbs next time and see how many I can do, does that sound good?
well i obviously don't know what is a good weight for you just make it hard on yourself OBV. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] In other news I incline benched 225 today for reps! HOLLA!
