I don't believe that testosterone study at all, saying you peak at 7 days of beating off, for one, I haven't seen the actual study, just a chart, and for two, how do you go about asking guys to beat off for you in an experiment??
Sounds sketchy to me.
But i almost hit 175 and my previous bench was 165, and i wasn't fresh when i tried it, so im pumped.
Ask to beat? Don't most men do it regardless of experiments ?
why were they using foam rubber weights?
They were rubber weights. Rubber weights (bumper plates) are easier to use compared to steel or iron plates, and allow the person to drop them on the ground without making a huge sound or causing damage. They are mainly used for Olympic lifts.
Take a look the quote - "FOAM"

Hows swimming for bodybuilding? I've always been a good swimmer and I'm going to be a lifeguard here soon, and since I'll probably pick up a lot of time swimming I was wondering if it's a good way to build up muscle?
Swimming doesn't build muscle, it works them though.
As long as you eat at a caloric surplus you should gain muscle. However, a lot of muscle mass isn't going to be great for swimming. Conversely, gaining muscle will be relatively slow in comparison to lifting
Alright, thats good since thats all I was looking for out of it anyway, something to keep me in shape. Sorry if that was a bit of a dumb question, not too into bodybuilding and the like :v: Trying, though. If I end up doing lifeguarding at this gym near us I get like 25% off of membership so I can do some working out there, so I'm just trying to gain some knowledge about it all.

seriously, what are those weights made of?
seriously, what are those weights made of?
Probably rubber, similar to them bumper plates which are rubber plated so they can be dropped from a height without causing an earthquake, except they seem to be full rubber. Rubber can still be pretty heavy though.

Everyone talked about how my cousin is so buff, so i went to see one of his Facebook pics, and i face-palmed.
I'm 100 percent sure he uses Synthol.
IMO, if i wanted to ruin my body, i'd rather ruin it with Steroids (Not that I'm saying they ruin your body. Steroids are good if used right) than Synthol.

Pathetic. Not only does it look gross as fuck, but they're basically bragging about injecting oil into their muscles.

So I won't gain any muscle while trying to lose weight through cardio while I'm at 1400 Cals? I think I'll stop weight lift after my cardio
I don't understand your question. You can lose fat while gaining muscle. You may not lose weight though.
I don't understand your question. You can lose fat while gaining muscle. You may not lose weight though.
Some one said that you can only gain muscle IF you have a calorie surplus, but I'm at a deficit in order to lose some weight. That means I won't gain any muscle if I weight lift after my cardio?
It will still make your muscles stronger, even though you are on a calorie deficit. Maybe not as much, but it will still make them stronger.
is there of chance of me losing muscle?
Yes but not a too big one if you keep lifting.
I would recommend eating at maintenance, personally.

You will.. Just eat alot of protein. Drink a protein shake, but with water instead of milk, or skim milk. Low calorie, high protein intake. Bulking is only for skinny people. You already have the fat, now you need to cut. Also don't forget about other nutriets (Carbs, fiber).
Eat alot of pasta, oats.

Depends on a lot of factors, but it's going to be miniscule regardless.
It's not that it's impossible to gain muscle while on a deficit, it's just really REALLY inefficient.
SO i'm having a proportions problem with my legs, my legs as a whole are far more(FAR more) developed then the rest of my body, they always have been. What would be the solution, less training on my legs? or The same amount and more arm training?
Still doing sl 5x5 btw.

More squats, less everything else. Fuck the haters, crush them between your thighs.

Supposedly that should be the natural state of the basic physique - strong lower body to support all the weight. A simple look at most routines indicates much more emphasis on legs whether you like it or not. Upper body SHOULD always be weaker and "weak looking" in comparison to your lower body.
