and it's less natural, when lifting heavy weights your body needs to move in several different directions
free weights > machines machines is a funny word.
THEY BOTH BRING THEIR OWN ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES lol
How can I get past the sticking point in bench press? I've hit a plateau with bench press and nothing else, squats and dead lift are advancing just fine, my squats jumped from 275 to 290 pounds, and my dead lift max jumped from 365 to 370 pounds, but my bench press max has been at 175 pounds since April. My problem with bench press is that I get stuck at a certain point, that if someone helps me past it, I can complete the rest of the lift. How can I fix this?
1. Are you getting stuck at the middle or bottom of the lift during a set? 2. I'm somewhat incapable of comprehending how a guy who can Squat and Deadlift 290/370 pounds, got to a point where he can't break an 185 bench barrier. I'm like baffled by that equation. That's like a guy who edits video clips on Vegas professionally and then bursts out a question like; How do I insert motion blur on this layer? That makes me want to ask, how the fuck did you even get to deadlifting 370? Doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. 3. How much do you Military press? I'll try and help.
dear diary today I had to run through 2 thunderstorms (the first one almost killing me) to get to the Gym and back if that's not dedication then I don't know what is
I ran to the gym while a tornado was in my town. Do I win?
I pissed all over my shorts and then still went to the gym
I was puking all over myself while at the gym.
I ran to the gym while a tornado was in my town. Do I win?
did lightning strike directly 5 meters in front of you almost killing you if you ran faster? if no then you don't win
did lightning strike directly 5 meters in front of you almost killing you if you ran faster? if no then you don't win
Well a tree fell in the path I was running in, and the lightning was close enough for me to see it hit the ground. For the record as long as I have been alive there has never been a tornado in my state. But still.
did lightning strike directly 5 meters in front of you almost killing you if you ran faster? if no then you don't win
lightning is pussyshit
They call me thunder thighs
What's the best stretch to do before pullups? I never was good with stretches
There aren't too many lat stretches to my knowledge. The only two i can think of are: [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] do those with some bi and shoulder depending on what type of pull ups you're doing
bunsko likes the first stretch a lot
Only when you do it, bb ;)
u got no massels bulk
I don't know why everyone on this thread insists that people should BULK THE FUCK UP, despite still being a bit fat especially when your going to try to bulk at his age/height, would look fine if he had a lower body fat. Your muscles will be more visible. If you were a bit older, and taller :P I would say Bulk no matter how fat. Why not cut until you can see your abs at least, then bulk, then you wont need to worry about fat so much.

I've been bulking for a couple of weeks, I love eating alot, but then again I would also love to feel good about bulking, not feel like a fat ass. I spent 6 months, I lost 30 LBS big accomplishment, so naturally a bulking diet has a massive guilt trip with it. Went to the beach for the first time in like a fucking year, felt pretty good to take off my shirt in the best shape of my life, but not as good as it could be. Just saying. If someone shows me proof that I shouldn't worry about fat when bulking, then I'll bulk with no remorse. The SL5x5 site "Get ripped while melting fat like a microwave, while still eating like a horse". Sounds like a load to me, especially after these 6 months. [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] I'd also like to hear some takes on Clean VS Dirty Nutrition.
You want to bulk? You need a surplus. Stop worrying about shit that don't matter.
Are you referring to the Clean VS Dirty?
Are you referring to the Clean VS Dirty?
Im refering generally to the subject. When you stop worrying about the fat, you start gaining. That defeats the purpose, to worry about the fat, because in order to stay lean/cut you need to reduce calories which is the opposite of bulking
By lean, I just think of low body fat, skinny or muscular people are "lean" as long as they have a low BF. I want to gain muscle, as everyone said I should be doing, but I still want to lose some fat. Or at least not gain anymore. I never knew that this was impossible. [editline]22nd June 2011[/editline] Basically I'm a bit fat, and I have little muscle, and I need to work on both problems.

Lean out if that's what you want, then start bulking. Don't let that issue disturb along the way. I keep fairly stable, yet I keep on gaining.
I'm going to lean out smore, I will continue with my SL 5x5 program. I'm goanna have to get back into the groove of things, but I can do this. I'm bulking in 6 weeks no matter how much fat I lost, maybe in 4 depends on alot of shit, I don't have to much excess fat left.
Ok guys, I need a weekly schedule. I'll be going every day for 30 minutes. (Start with 30 minutes at least.) I want to train everything, including cardiovascular. Any good schedules you can recommend to me? [editline]22nd June 2011[/editline] Would it be better to go every other day?
Are weighted crunches the best workout for abs?
Are weighted crunches the best workout for abs?
There is no "best work out". Good ab exercises include: weighted decline sit ups weighted leg lifts weighted planks [editline]22nd June 2011[/editline]
I don't know why everyone on this thread insists that people should BULK THE FUCK UP, despite still being a bit fat especially when your going to try to bulk at his age/height, would look fine if he had a lower body fat. Then goes on a bulk and then they're gone again. Meanwhile he wasted a good amount of time where he could have been seeing better gains just to see his abs for a bit. Also, Kelloggs brought up clean and dirty bulking. Clean bulking is where you eat a lot but of good, nutritional foods. Dirty bulking, you just eat everything you can get your hands on. I'm on (somewhat of) a clean bulk. There hasn't been a period where i didn't see my abs. Don't worry about aesthetics, they'll come on their own. 79kg deadlifts are definitely easier now then they were before. So are the 25kg military presses. *needs heavier 15kg plates* EDIT: also found a way to do heavier squats. I just put two 10kg plates to my backpack so now I'm squatting 45kg. Still fairly easy though.
