Eating too much. Going to be poor!!
Wouldn't it be funny if he got all those winners but the only reason he vomited was because he ate too much... [editline]1[/editline] jk m8
um no get out

the horror the horror
lol why did I expect those kipping pull-ups?
K, as some of you know, I've started doing StrongLifts 5x5. The gym I go to has some real oddballs at it, so I don't want to ask some random guy to help check my form so I don't bust my back out. They have personal trainers, so I'm going to book one. I asked the gym manager who would be the best and she recommended one of the girls (most of the guy PTs that I see down there are either track and field guys or have huge biceps and pin legs.. looking a bit like a Rob Leifeld toon... which is not encouraging). I know the woman she recommended and have seen her doing squats and dead lifts with huge weights (huge weights compared to what I could do, or most of the other gym guys) so that's good. Are there any questions I should be asking? Should I say that I am doing SL5x5? Do you think she know what it is? Will she try to pursuade me not to with some broscience? But more importantly, are there any questions I should ask. I'll have her attention for an hour, and it'll cost me $45NZD, and I don't want to pay that kind of money regularly. It's really just to get some proper advice on lifting before I get into heavier weights and wreck anything. Cheers. edit: oh yeah, I've started doing "shoulder dislocations" before squatting. Not sure if that's the right term.. but my flexibility is rubbish in my shoulders. In fact, all over.
I'd imagine you'll be well off if she shows you all the moves you'll be doing and ask her if she has any recommendations but remember that it's your body and you can do whatever the hell you want whatever she says.
Wouldn't waste my money on that woman. You got all the information you need right here at your disposal. Lift the bar, listen to your body. Learn yourself to ask the right questions.
Some people may not be that good at listening to their body though.
If little Luka does enough research he won't need the woman but if he has the money and would rather have someone there then he can go for it
before I buy it, what exactly does fish oil do?
Tastes bad, gives omega 3 and 6 probably. Don't believe me though, I've no idea.
it does a shit ton of small and some p big things. 2/3g of epa/hda from what ive seen is p good for a person training
If little Luka does enough research he won't need the woman but if he has the money and would rather have someone there then he can go for it
I said it was only a one off thing, just to make sure I am doing stuff right and not going to injure myself in the future :) I also can't quite tell if you are insulting me :P
Ask I guy who can only bench 40 pounds anything.. I'm sorta improving but Jesus I'm weak
aren't you the otter mode guy? lol
Hey guys, I did deadlifts for the first time yesterday and today my lower back is a bit... tired, it;s not sore but it feels kinda fatigued when I move, could I have a form issue or is this normal as my muscles adapt to being trained?

Soon you won't even get sore at all.
Only way to be sure is to post vids, though [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] BTW, toenail is p much off. I don't know where my camera is, though :(
Hallelujah!
muscle memory ftw. got my arms + chest muscles back after sickness from doing literally nothing.
I doubt "muscle memory" is the case. Your muscles always look small if you're sick and don't do anything for a while and don't eat much and you lose some liquid. I look all normal when I eat well for a few days, drink lots of water and do something to make my blood flow again. People usually mention muscle memory when someone has lost many many kilos of muscle weight and gain them back quickly. I bet the amount of muscle cells still stays the same all the time. I looked pathetic skinnyfat after being two days at hospital. No muscle definition at all and it was the first time I didn't see my abs for a year. The doctors didn't even find vessels from my arm lmao, altho I'm at under 10% body fat and you can normally see literally every surface vein in my arm. Normally, if I pump up my arms you can even see vein big enough for iv drop on my middle finger. They asked me to squeeze my arm and even by putting a tight belt around my arm they couldn't find any veins. After puncturing my arm 5 times they tried my wrist, which didn't work either. They finally ended up putting it in my arm bend, which is something they aren't supposed to do because I couldn't bend my arm at all.
toenail's off. No video. It wasn't very exciting anyway. I'll post pics later or something, though. For major obv ;)

Oh come on! Have you at least bandaged the toe properly now? Antiseptic balm etc.?
