If you do it right, you'll lost minimal amounts. Or not at all, depends.
According to this website I'm burning 1500-2500 (have to keep track for my HKR course) a day I don't know how accurate it is though because I think that would be 3-5 pounds a week and I'm not losing that much. But I'm still lifting and running and trying to get as much protein as I can. I don't really know how to properly cut tbh. I don't seem to be losing muscle though, but I don't know if there's any way to actually check.
When doing the machine chest flies, are your shoulders suppose to feel some strain? When I do it without flexing my chest, it starts to tire out. When I focus on tightening my chest, my shoulders start to feel a lot of strain. The height is set so my arm is just a little under my shoulders. Is this off?
When you cut do you lose muscle or just body fat?
Unless you are completely retarded/doing something v. stupid you lose like literally no muscle. People on places like t-nation will always be seen crying about how afraid they are of losing muscle or how they think they lose so much muscle last time they cut, but the reality is they didnt lose shit and just weren't ever as big as they thought they were. As long as you keep your protein high and keep lifting, you'd be hard pressed to lose muscle even on a very high deficit.

But it's good to hear that I probably wont.
Can you guys give me some pointers here? All I have are a pair of ten pound and a pair of fifteen pound dumbbells, what can I do with those?

Hey guys, how much time does it take for your backs to recover back to the action after a back day? I just don't seem to be able to do my best after 5 days resting my back. My perfomance was horrific today. But my chest is back to the action on the fourth day, and get awesome strength gains.
My dad put me on a workout routine and within a few weeks I've gone from squatting half my body weight to 1.5x my body weight. I feel so proud.
I don't know if any of you guys have tattoos but maybe you do. Anyways I just got one today on my calf and I was wondering if running and lifting will affect the healing process at all. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate an opinion. I googled it but some people say you can some people say you can't so It didn't help. maybe I'll just work on upper body while it heals though...
Disregard reality and the pain, keep on flyin' baby.
Had the best two days of lifting that I've had in a while. I'm surprised how much I strain my jaw when I lift, and it's really noticeable with the constant soreness I'm already feeling. I now understand why some people wear mouth guards when they do their strength workouts.
just measured my biceps, +1 inch fuck yes
how big now?? [editline]20th July 2011[/editline] i for one am soon going to join the 14'' club. prob in a few months.
never measured, but my bicep is probably like -5 inches. hahaha
My bicep is 1 cm less in circumference than my calf.
get the fuck over biceps, triceps are 2/3 your arm
yeah except IRL no one gives 2 fucks about them
How do I convince my parents that whey protein shakes are not harmful in any way? I'm afraid I'm not getting enough protein in my diet, but my dad's a former Soviet and this was his response: "Son, I am come from country where protein shake do not exist. In Soviet Russia, I see many, many men much more stronger than I who have not drank shake in their lives. You do not need silly shake to become strong."

Hell I got lectured when I even said "I'm trying to gain weight" to them, they think this whole bodybuilding thing is an 'obsession with image' and detrimental to my health. [sp]In Soviet Russia, protein shake drinks you.[/sp]
my parents are both soviet russian not a single fuck was given by them

Dump out that coco shit and fill the tubs with protein powder. Problem solved.
