i bench around 225 lb and i can do dips with 3 45 plates strapped to me and right now i weigh 180 lb of course i'm doing those on close grip dips. Doesn't seem all that odd to me, though.
Do you guys find it weird that I can barely bench 70kg barbell for 8-10 reps, but I can dip with 20kg plate for 12 reps using wide grip and my bw is a little below 70kg. I go quite low too.
No, it's fine, I can squat 210 LBS 8x and Bench 120, and DL 210. But I can't do a single chin/pull up.
how much do you weigh?
Dammn you're a bear. How tall you are?
5'11"
how much do you weigh?
145, Idk I've only tried doing them a few times, there not that important so I could hardly give a fuck. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Looking into buying this package. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/exclusive-combos/mens-muscle-gain-teen-stack-progressive.html I've never been that dependent on sups, but I'm sure it could help. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] And you get another free gift when you spend over 75 bucks.
you should work on... doing at least 5 chin-ups
Okay, so Someone on /fit/ gave me this routine and I want to cross-reference it: DB Chest press 3x8 DB Incline Press 3x8 DB Shoulder Press 3x8 Deadlifts 1x5 Squats 1x5 DB Tricep extensions 3x8 Concentration Curls 3x10 Lat Pulldown 2x15 DB Rows 5x5 I'm currently '5"8 at 185lb. Will this work? What should I add or subtract from it?
Benched 3x8 of 185 tonight, feels good man. That's either an intense workout or 4 weak workouts.
It's one workout. It takes about 40 mins to finish, and that's what concerns me. I don't feel that bushed from it and although my arms and legs feel some burn it isn't all that tiring. I'm thinking of possibly adding in some cardio after I finish the weights (Perhaps 10 mins of HIIT running, 10 mins of rowing, 10 mins of biking and 10 mins of cardio machines) [editline]26th July 2011[/editline] Should I do that or just increase the weight? I Use 15lb dumbells (I know, I suck) for p much all of the excercises except for the tricep extensions, where I use 12.5's. As for my diet, just oats, fruits, nuts, plain grilled chicken and eggs all day erry day a good plan?
Ugh, high-fiber muffin with nuts, fruits and carrots + 10 minutes hard elliptical + 5x5 atg squats = bad combination
Just realise how much triceps do for the looks of your arm today.. Beautiful
Breaking news: Arm muscles make arms look good. I kid, I kid :buddy:
I just believed (weirdly) that arms were all about biceps.. They're not :D
triceps look way cooler than biceps.

^ [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] aw my up arrow didnt work [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Did my workout today, started walking back to my house, turned my head to the side and casually vomited up whatever was in my stomach at the time. Didn't even skip a beat or stop walking while I was puking. I don't even understand why.
now that's what I call a cool story
come at me nerd
So I finally found a gym I can workout at. Past few months I've just been doing conditioning for boxing and its good, but I do want to build strength and muscle. I can go to the gym an 1 hour a day and some main things I've been focusing on is DB press, squats and some random machines around the gym. Whats a good schedule for me? I want to get bigger and stronger basically.
Look around. You set no goals for yourself and expect others to do so for you? No. No. No.
Sorry, forgot to post what I actually wanted to work on. I'm just wondering how often should I do an exercise (such as DB press) a week? Should I do it everyday or should I do it 3 times a week. It's been a while since I've been to a gym (it was apart of gym class) and the last time I did Bigger Faster Stronger. Also, I've been looking at people workouts and its seems like upper body one day then legs the next. Is it crucial to devote a day to just one part of your body then the next to another part?
come at me nerd
BOOMER!
I've just been using whey and I've been doing pretty well I suppose. But seriously, I'm about to throw up if I have to eat another meal of mircowave chickenbreast and brown rice. I rarely have the time to bother with any real meal besides mcdonalds or w/e, so I'm checking out some of these mass supps. Any of you guys have any experience in them? I'm a gaspari nutrition fan and I've heard some good things about mutant mass so I think I'm going to try them both. Any comments before I blow 88$ on this shit? Yes, blow those 88$ on 3 bags of bread and 1.5kg of cheese / balony. How's that for serving yourself quick enough meals with more than enough protein? Follow it for a year+. Confront the program with goals such as "300 lbs bench n 500000 deadlift is what I want from myself and out of this program". Achieve best you can, move on to more advanced, isolated programs. Again, take in mind that the time span is about a year and a half of pure dedication food and adequate sleep.

Are they both the same general program?
