Sup guise My appendix burst, had to get surgery and can't do shit the next 6 weeks (stomach cut in half). My weight went from 240 to 205. Feelsbadman.jpg.
man I was the same way. My lung collapsed and i was out of it for like 3 months bro. I was like 145, then I went all the way down to the 130's. And after like 4 months back at it I'm at 161. It will come back fast bro.
Holy shit, just did a " dropset ". To those who don't know what it is, you curl the heaviest weight you can like 8-10 times, then drop one of the weights, and use both hands for one. They do wonders.
This post makes me rage
Why?
Why?
Am I being punked?
Am I being punked?
No. I'm just asking why, as I'm not born with ultimate knowledge about weightlifting.
Dropset is where you curl as much as you can as often as you can, then you LOWER THE WEIGH a little bit, do maximum amount of reps you can push out and then lower the weigh again until you either reach 0 pounds or can't lift your arms anymore. Or something like that *officialsealofIknowjackshit*

Yeah, but I have spin locks. That means it takes 1-2 minutes for me to lower the weight, and the whole point is to INSTANTLY go lower. I use one hand for each weight yeah.
i think he's talking about DB curls, bruh
Wait, are you using dumbbells? EDIT: YES I UNDERSTANDA THAT NOWA, I R BABOOM! BABOON!
Yeah lol
God damn it... I'm no stick, but i'm not big either, this fat as shit 6 foot 3 rugby player in my year has the god damn ability to simply push me aside when I go to tackle him, he weighs like 80kg or some shit. I'm at 50kg...
Rugby? Hit him in the nutsack with your knee. Cheap, but works. A friend did it to me when we had rugby at school, teacher said it's aloud.
Just got a video up of my deadlift, any chance you guys can critique my form? [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gnv-pzSSHg[/hd]
The lower back seemed to stay stable so I'd say it looked good. Maybe a tiny little bit more leg work instead of back but... *official seal of I know nothing*
Back is looking great, bar speed is solid, no wobbling, great stability and no excessively heavy load. BUT Why use an underhand, why take the risk? because everybody else does so? no use coming out of that besides risk of bicep tear and general imbalance due to different holding position. It seems you're almost strictly using your back, which is what you're basically trying to achieve, but a formal deadlift uses both legs and back. I see almost no leg drive. You're not pushing your ass inside and by making so you're using forearms and back alone. dispose of the shoes, deadlift barefoot. I like to drop the bar completely and slowly and do every rep fully flat from the floor, doesn't matter though you're pretty k. generally ok, just general observations yada yada

You're asking a bit much to be able to throw yourself at a dude who is taller + THIRTY KILOGRAMS HEAVIER There's a reason all pro rugby players are generally in the 90-110kg area

My advice to you, try to close your arms around their ankles, it works against me, so im guessing it will probably work for you. Ive had guys who wiegh a bit less than you sending me flying in the air like this.

I just bought some liquid chalk though which should help a bit. And yeah I've been feeling I may be taking the legs out of equation a bit too much. And I use those shoes because they have a really thin sole so they don't compress when I'm squating or deadlifting which is quite nice. Alright, I'll try and make sure the bar is dead on the floor for every rep. Cheers for the input.
Yeah, next time I play i'll give that a go. Just go lower for the tackles?

I feel i could use help on my deadlifting form
That looked fine to me too, maybe not quite as strick and controlled as the previous guys though. Maybe try going a little bit slower and concentrate more on the movement so that you won't wave around so much. *official seal of you know the rest*
I feel i could use help on my deadlifting form
Form is off, watch Sethorion's video. It's 95% spot on in my opinion besides a few minor changes I have suggested. Anyways, for you specifically it would be: 1. shoes off. I hate shoes, no need to deadlift in 'em. 2. Bar isn't touching your legs which probably causes your back to round up (no side view, so I'm guessing) back isn't tight 3. drop the underhand, please, I beg you. You want stronger forearms? Kroc rows. High rep, heavy ass, rows. 4. certainly there's a lot of leg drive in comparison to the other guy here, but you don't lock yourself in. it's like you're doing 90% of the movement, you're hunched forward at the end of the pull, dying to pull out another rep. Drop the weight completely, and deadlift it again. repeat. 5. I put my finger on the screen, because it seemed like you're higher everytime you rep off the floor for the 1st time, so my original finger position is lower than when you're repping the weight. this suggests of possible bar momentum and it's basically a natural way to say and overcome a weight that's heavy for you. Nothing too serious though, I've seen much worse. Bar speed ok, nothing bone breaking. stability is also ok with you, no wobbling good luck broski
Check my deadlift form please:-
Nothing to change, I just don't get what's up with the ceremony at the end, when you fall on the dumbbells. Nothing ground-breaking, just rows, heavy rows, with a higher rep format.Great assistance exercise, as I have never needed to use an underhand grip myself:) This whole underhand grip that's probably have been going around in the mind of frequent bb.com-ers is a short term fix which should not be used. About the shoes. if your gym permits that, take 'em off completely. The feel of the natural alignment of your feet against the floor makes it easier to push from the heels and generally stabilize yourself better. In the end, it doesn't matter much, but it's better.
