Question: I hit the gym hard on monday and the next day was really sore, that's to be expected. I woke up today to go and I'm still extremely sore from monday, should I continue to rest?
do training as planned.
dont do that thing where you pop your shoulderblades to make your traps look bigger dont do it man
oh, like this?
It's actually a good look in my opinion.
Well I'm stuck in the gym now The people are a lot nicer than I expected, been going properly for about two weeks now and all I've got was "HEY MAN! You're doing great, but try doing this like that and you'll be working these and those muscles" then if I bring a friend they usually go "breathe! you got it mate!" Why are you gym people nice
Oh you know...
becuase gym enemies are bad, you dont want a guy who hates your guts to have to spot you if you are in trouble. plus it just keeps a nice atmosphere, everyone is there to get fit, so respect to them. leave the insults to fatties who dont even bother going to the gym and refuse to accept that their weight is a big problem.
My german exchange partner is coming over for a week, I get to teach him a decent program from scratch, cool.
Was it a bad thing that I said to one of the guys "I think you could take more man!" It just looked like his deadlifts were so easy. Im not sure if he was on a burning program though
Yes, very disrespectful. You have brought great shame and dishonour to your family's name.
oh, like this?
then you can't flex your lats fagget
nonikai, you have the option to either commit seppuku or to be publicly disgraced and have your family exiled. What is your choice?

Hurray for the 2nd week birthday of the bruise in my chest! It's not getting any better either due to all the banging it gets from the barbell.
dude....dont bounce the bar off your chest lol
Woh man, conditioning your sternum by hitting it with the barbell. Diggin it.
I need to let the barbell rest on my chest before pushing it up to gather enough oxygen to not faint from bringing it up there. I also need to bounce it off my chest when bringing the bar down since I fear my wrists couldn't take it if I tried to drop the bar from way up straight to my lap.
Then lower the weight and start doing shit with proper form.
But I do feel like I'm doing it with right form. It's not like I'm smashing myself with the bar. I just get bruised easily. I don't feel any pain while doing the movement although my left wrist might pop if I jerk the weigh too fast, but that's because it's loose anyways. EDIT: actually, I'll upload a quick video of my lift, does it look that bad? EDIT: Damn it, I look like I have Down's in the preview pic YouTube shows. *weeps*
needs a few fixes here n there, but generally quite good. Not too familiar with the movements to the details so I can't provide any accurate information for you :)
*checks thread every minute for more comments, good or bad* Ok, I need to stop. Gonna go to sleep now, night.
then you can't flex your lats fagget
i can...
I SAID NO
Anyone else here do MMA/boxing? I have been boxing for two years, getting serious about it now, and am also practicing certain aspects from wrestling, karate, judo, kickboxing, and jiu jitsu. I also do tai chi.
Well I've got my first injury Anyone here ever get a large crack in there neck and then feel really sore afterwards I mean when you move your neck it hurts Doesn't feel like a bone problem, just in the muscles? Was thinking of riding it out over the weekend and see how I am on monday
How did it happen?
I was working out the triceps and chest at the same time Then I was struggling a bit (it's a machine, your arms are usually wide spread and you push the thing up) and wanted to get the last rep in and I guess I strained my neck and then I hear a crack

Wait for tomorrow, I bet you can't move your hear at all. It'll go away within a few days tho.

Was thinking of riding it out over the weekend and see how I am on monday
I got that from someone choking me out. It's probably a muscle injury. I waited 3 days and the pain was pretty much gone with help of painkillers. I went to do shoulder presses because I thought it was healed, then mid set I got a sharp pain and almost dropped a 60lb dumbbell on my head. Then it was another week until full recovery. I suggest you wait until it's 100% better before training. But that's just my advice and you can do whatever the FUCK you wanna do.
I was gonna wait until monday til I go back and I'll train shit that doesn't strain the shoulders too much Like I said though. I'll see how I am on monday
