IDK it's not that big of a deal, I think. Once you get past 120 DB's you can just move on to other exercises or do BO Rows with barbell.
I injured my lattimus Dorsii, but I shall still go to the gym this evening, do my bench press, go light on the squats, take this as a chance to perfect my form further, then maybe do tricep extension instead of rows?
What makes you so sure you did ? Very unreasonable muscle to injure.

I've got to disagree. Different motions.
That's like comparing a bulldozer to a shovel. Both got their advantages at their field.

Im not trying to sound like a dick but it seems your going paranoid over "omg i injured this muscle, its way too useless"
You really cant injure lat's that easily man.
What makes you so sure you did ? Very unreasonable muscle to injure.
It was in the general area. And I just went to the gym and it turns out i've actually torn that muscle, figured that out when I tried to lift a 60lb disc. I'm just going to take the rest of the week off, doing a few press movements. Then try the same exercises next week.

yeah lol it's torn the fuck up
And i'm not making it up if that's really what you think, I went to see a doctor
WTF how do you tear your lat picking a 60 pound plate up man.
Lift with your legs durp
It was torn before, that just made it hurt like fuck.
Im still confused how you tore it though.
I don't think I mentioned how I did it, not your fault. I was deadlifting, most likely with improper form, 230lb or something like that.

That would do it i guess. I didnt deadlift unless i had someone there the first 3-5 workouts i did with dlifting, just to make sure i was using proper form.
Your so unlucky lol.
There's a way smaller chance of getting hurt from improper form with calisthenics :smug:
Although gaining muscle and strength with calisthenics takes longer than lifting

Theres also a smaller chance of getting hurt from weightlifting if you know proper form!
But, to be safe...
Just dont exercise at all you know? No point in risking injury at all in life, thats why i like to stay in my room beating my dick like a nigga on a bongo drum.
Meh, i'm quite mellow, at least I won't lose any of my gains, just a matter of me not being able to enjoy lifting for a week.
On a side not what do you guys think of marijuana and building muscle, I know that alcohol can have an impact, and i'm a frequent user of other drugs, was wondering if they have the same effect.
Marijuana will make you not want to exercise, and if you do it's really hard. Trust me, I've tried :v:
I broke my big toe last night; it was crushed under a weight plate! My toe properly smarts when I try to move it or put weight on it, but otherwise it's really not so bad. Skipped out on the rest of my routine after that, but I'll go back tomorrow and pick up where I left off.
What kind of fracture is it?
Went for a run today. I am so out of shape and my legs hurt like shit.
ketosis you shall be miiiiiiiine
I agree to an extent, however, I would think there are still ways around the lack of heavy dumbbells. Couldn't one armed cable rows be a relatively good substitute? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Smoking has no effect on estrogen and testosterone levels, nor does is it detrimental or beneficial to muscle building.
Now on a mental level, its gonna make you lazy as fuck. I toked for a good year and didnt lift at alll lololol.
Just keep it under control, if your gonna smoke, dont do it on day you workout. Do it after a workout, that will help you get some more calories ifn if your trying to gain.
Just do coke and lift;)
It was torn before and you haven't undergone surgery yet? what the fuck?
I think you're exaggerating here a bit. Torn muscle is a pain you'd cry for hours about and be rushed to the hospital immediately.

Working out on recreational drugs that aren't stimulants would probably have negative results. Toking after a workout feels great though.
http://www.creatinemonohydrate.net/ Is this a good website to learn about creatine and what type of creatine I should take? Also are there any other good supplements out there? I heard Nitric Oxide is good.

Can't really speak out of personal exp here, so my advice is purely estimated.
after a quick research at exrx's website, cable versus db, I came to the conclusion I still prefer the db row better.
Cable rows, add a few more stabilizers (if you use the standing version of it obviously) but other than that offer no difference.
Reason I prefer the db row, is because I need keep holding the weight vertically, against gravity, making grip much more emphasized than the cable version. I personally found db rows much more rewarding as an exercise in whole.
A few months ago I was 160lbs.
Now I dropped to 146lbs.
So much for the gym, I've been spending more time on the track
