Take it like 30mins - 1 hour before you workout. The active ingredient in all pwos is caffine which takes about 30 mins to fully hit you and has a half life of 5 hours.
First of all do u even lift huh and i did not call protein vitamins and if u cant take me serious just dont post nothing else on here.if u mess up ur metabolism your going to end upup gaining fat and timing is critical body can only consume around 25 to 30 i belive so and remeber it 2grams of protien per pound of ur weight so yea waste ur protein away
omg shut up ahahahaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
What about pre-workout shakes though?
Never had one, but I haven't been working out for long.
[editline]7th August 2013[/editline]
eh its probably the same
Preworkout is the exception because it's not food as much as it's just a shitload of stimulants so you take it 30-60 minutes before working out for the stims to hit you hard. For anything else that's food, even protein shakes, you take that shit when you're hungry, simple as that and as long as you're hitting your macros and calories for the day, you're good to go.
i think hes talking about having a protein shake before working out
rather than a pre workout stimulant drink nomsayin
yes correct
to answer your question, it doesn't matter when you have your protein shakes as long as you have them
[editline]7th August 2013[/editline]
tho i always feel bloated as fuk after a shake so i have it post workout then another later on
Chicken and rice.
I'm gonna assume you're a hardgainer with that low as fuarck weight, or you're not very old.
Protein doesn't make you gain weight. It supports muscle growth, or maintenance given you are in a calorie deficit. You're simply not gonna budge the weight without eating more. And if you really have trouble gaining weight, there is nothing wrong with eating more unhealthy foods(fast food, pizza, etc) as long as you otherwise stay healthy and get your vitamins and antioxidants through proper meals.
Ok look when u workout it takes three days to completely to recover by eating at the right time you help.your body heal faster and u also get better health benefits for example a good metabolism plus ill prove u wrong with this lets say you only eat twice and within thoes two meals u eat 2000 calories yes u consumed all ur macros but whatbu dont now is that most of the protein vitamis all go to waste because your body can only consume a certain amounts of grams of protien there for ur wasting time and protien and ur messing up ur metabolism all at the same time. Food and timing is one of the keys to help u reach many goals
There is no protein that goes to waste. 99,9% of protein is absorbed, and most of the protein found in feces is from dead intestinal wall cells.
But protein isn't stored, so whatever you ate is used first for recovery, and the rest is used as energy.
But the 3 day recovery isn't actually 3 day it's more like 48 hours to most people.
That's why you do 3 day splits.
Fucking brosciences.
[editline]26th August 2013[/editline]
3333333 lol three
Seriously, even the proteins that aren't directly used for recovery are not just shat out, they're just stored as energy under another form.
Also l8 as shit

Well technically yes, aminoacids turn into acetyl-coa then from there you can synthetize fatty acids.
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/nutrition/excess-protein-and-fat-storage-qa.html
of course what he says is right. that's why i said technically.
i guess excess aminoacids are converted to glucose and used in the body. because as far as i know your body can't selectively absorb protein. it just absorbs as much as it can.
i have no idea what you're saying.......
the whole point of Lyle is that in reality there's almost no such thing as excess protein and even if there was a situation where it could be possible, then metabolically speaking the body would just burn it off.
eat high protein diet
eat 500 calls above maintenance
The only way to actually gain weight to turn into muscle, is by eating. There are quite a few ways to this, but I found one way that turned out really easy for me.
Basically, you drink a gallon of milk every 2-3 days. Drink a glass with every meal you have, and then whenever you arent doing anything. It's called the GOMAD diet. You can also go all paleo, or try out your own healthy diet. But basically, the only way to gain weight is to eat a lot. Go check your BMI and then adjust your calories according to how much weight you are looking to gain. Hope this helps!
1400 to 1800 Calorie Should be Stander. It depend upon also body shape. Excess Amount of Calorie is harmful our System.
