It's an incredibly great business strategy.
Bait & switch, which still is scummy as fuck, and why I'll never like him. Do it right or don't do it at all.

He isn't falsely advertising anything, if anything, it's entering a new market once you've already got a good share. [editline]5th July 2016[/editline] Which I suppose is also great if his viewers has started to "grow up" (as a lack of better words)
I didn't like him because his videos were devoid of any actual humour aside from the "randumb" nonsense and overreacting/screaming that was mostly targeted towards young teenagers? I mean it's not exactly a complex answer, and I'm glad he's moving away from that towards quality content
Never disliked the guy but i did not like his content and his fanbase was annoying, but for me the single thing i actually disliked the most was his constant use of 'Rape' to describe everthing. I don't give a flying toss about profanity but for me that word is something that should not be used to lightly and liberally and his fanbase mostly being kids, yeah just did not sit right with me.
I always hated him because he just screams at video games and says the cringiest shit imaginable. But that was when he was in his 20s. Lately I've been seeing more videos of him like this, non-video game related and I'm finding he seems like a pretty cool guy, especially now that he's self aware.
Kudos to him for being so self aware and honest with himself. He doesn't take himself too serious. I like the new Pewdiepie although I'm not subscribed to him.
Can't say I really ever hated PDP, I really more or less hated the fanbase around him. I mean shit, if I had like what 50M followers on my YT channel and making load of dosh I'd keep it up doing the shit that gets me money as well. I've only started watching him again recently because his video's aren't the same old reaction shit/schtick that got him famous. Because that's a little bit ridiculous.
