Well I read the novel.
Spoilers ahoy
[sp]So the twins are back. But they don't last for long. Each of them gets dissolved in acid.[/sp]

BRILLIANT!
Looked like he was helping Sam and Lennox too.
I actually heard somewhere that Prime and Megatron are forced into an alliance of sorts, though who they unite against I can't be certain. What I DO know is that Shockwave is present in one of the trailers. (the cyclops with the big gun-arm) Maybe they unite against him? In the old animated series he was Megatron's bootlick but in the more recent animations (and possibly the comics, I dunno, haven't kept up with those) he's portrayed as more of a renegade bad-ass, so who knows?
And to those who say "OMG UNICRON ON MOON", I thought it was Bumblebee's Cybertronian form. It makes sense, he IS yellow.
Final thought: I love how everyone bitches about lack of plot in a movie based on a series that was nothing but a 30-minute long toy commercial.
Here, to spoil the ending for you guys.
[sp]Optimus is battling Sentinel Prime, losing it. Carly sees Megatron in a alley and talks to him saying, in a nutshell, "Shockwave is treating you like shit do something dumbass", thne Megatron goes and helps Prime and they disintegrate Sentinel and Megatron is all "I want peace now" and then he leaves and everything is happily ever after. Don't ask my how Shockwave dies because I forgot :c [/sp]
the scenes with driller look so fucking badass

[sp]He kills the twins and Ironhide with his acid blaster.
But then Optimus goes all ninja and kills Sentinel with Sentinel's acid blaster.[/sp]
I think this movie will be pure eye-candy like the rest of the movies, but seeing as megan bitch was replaced, the movie might work out.
Only watching this because it's Transformers, my childhood.
Am I the only one looking forward to this movie? Sure the second was terrible, but this one looks way more epic.

What you talking about! Half the movie was Explosions and Fighting! And the 3D effects were awesome.
3D was barely noticeable, but i got in for free so i won't complain.
8/10
It was much better than I thought it was going to be. Also, I enjoyed the 3D. The 3D was REALLY awesome in the action scenes, however between the action the 3D effect was almost nothing. They really laid off the shaking camera syndrome but some scenes still had it. I actually liked Carly's character a lot more than Mikaelas character. [sp]I also though for sure they were going to kill Bumble Bee off at that one part[/sp]. I'm surprised that [sp]they actually wrapped up the story and killed off Megatron and Starscream[/sp] One of my complaints though was I felt like the ending was rushed [sp]They finished the battle, and it just ended. I wanted the story to jump ahead a couple of months and show what happened to Chicago, what the Autobots are doing, and what happened with Sam and Carly[/sp]All in all, I enjoyed it much more than the first.
9/10
I could be at a drive in watching this right now :saddowns:
I'm also having to physically restrain myself from clicking the spoiler tags.
Was alright actually....nothing compared to the awesome first film, but MILES beyond the shitfest that was 2.
Some of the scenes with the music they chose for the film were very well done though. Though the ending felt extremely rushed, didn't get the conclusion that I was hoping for. [sp]Starscream went out like a bitch, which was very fitting. I, surprisingly, enjoyed that.[/sp]
Edit:
[sp]Megatron's death was the shittiest fucking thing I have ever seen.[/sp]
I expected worse from that Rosie model chick, but it wasn't THAAAT bad, Megan was way worse.
I saw this about 24 hours ago (midnight last night by my timezone). Good movie, much better than the second one... better than the first one in ways, but worse in others.
I was THE ONLY person who laughed when the Scottish sounding robot went, "I'll bottle you!" Everyone in the cinema was looking at me when I laughed :saddowns: I suspect people didn't understand him due to his accent, and, if they did understand him they didn't understand the meaning of the phrase.
As a fellow Scot I laughed quite heartily because it's such a stereotype... it's so true, though.
I'm going to see it this Friday, I hope the 3D is good.
In hindsight I should have bottled everyone in the fucking cinema.
Michael Bay is like the Larry Holmes of filmmakers. He's a Hollywood heavyweight in a time of bums.
Should I go see this shit tonight?
Should I go see this shit tonight?
Yes.
Just went to see this with a couple of friends and I gotta say this movie was one of the greatest action flicks I've seen on screen for a long time. Michael Bay really took all the constructive criticism he received from the ROTF and went all out for this movie. The shitty jokes from the previous ones got replaced by a humour made with a good taste and which actually made people in the cinema laugh out loud, he got rid of the crappy characters (The Twins) and the last half of the movie was such a audio-visual orgasmic rape that I've not witnessed in a long time (IMAX 3D).
The best thing about the movie was of course the fact that the Transformers were the main focus this time, not the humans. The story was taken from an old cartoon and felt like a mix between the plots of the first and second movie, but the characters, directing, special effects and the darker tone made it feel very intense and fresh.
You know, in the previous installments I didn't that much care about the transformer characters (other than the main cast) but in this one I really grew on to like all of them. I mean,[sp]I was shocked when Sentinel Prime betrayed the Autobots and killed Ironhide [/sp] and I actually felt bad for the[sp] Decepticon pilot which got ripped into pieces [/sp]and how[sp] Optimus brutally slaughtered Megatron after being saved by him (I seriously thought that there was going to be a peace agreement between Autobots and Decepticons at that point).[/sp]
Steve Jablonsky's work was honey to the ears as always, I especially loved the Arrival to Earth emotional remake [sp]when the Autobots were about to "leave" Earth.[/sp]
If I gotta say something bad about the movie, [sp] I would have wanted there to be one last and long fight between Optimus Prime and Megatron in the end, the way he got killed felt a bit anti-climatic. Megatron also felt like a background character this time (seat taken by Sentinel Prime and Soundwave), as opposed by being the main antagonist in the previous ones.[/sp]
If you liked the first one and loved the action of the second but didn't care for the crappy humour and characters, go see this one as soon as possible. You won't be disappointed.

what's that supposed to mean
I found it pretty cool. The action was pretty darn sweet while the romance and actual plot was, as expected, pretty shite, but a definite improvement over the cringefest that was 1, and probably 2 (I haven't seen it but I've heard stuff).
but man
those lips
those fucking lips

i liked the scenes with john malkovich
[editline]30th June 2011[/editline]
a transformer should have scanned him and then transformed
into a massive john malkovich
I'll see this soon. :3: I usually only go see a movie a month though, and I saw Super 8 this month, and Harry Potter next D:
