Tell me, what was so bad about Transformers ROTF?
Way too long, bad acting, terrible story, 1 dimensional characters, horrible action scenes, and EXTREMELY horrible and cringe worthy dialogue. It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
I just love that one part in Transformers 2, where whats-his-face is on the pyramid and underneath that giant robot that was made out of construction equipment and he looks up and sees the two wrecking balls dangling from the robot and we get a testicles joke. Yet the thing is, none of the fucking machines that formed to make that robot even had any wrecking balls on them. Such a quality movie ahahah
Or when Shia LeBeef goes in robot heaven or something. Haha, a great comedy.
Have you noticed how it says "Goes Dark" then cuts to the first shot of a black man we have ever seen in a transformers movie?
The Transformers movies are fun to watch and have a very good visual style and audio. Just because I'm a film student doesn't mean I can't enjoy entertaining movies, there are films and then there a movies. Transformers isn't supposed to be considered a film at all, films have a deeper message behind them. Movies are just there to entertain.
Movie, motion picture, and film all mean the same thing. I just figured that a film student would watch movies looking for things like mise-en-scene, thoughtful framing, and a provoking narrative, not big explosions and cheap laughs.

Had a speaking role too I believe. You did a terrible job at pulling a racist joke by the way.

I was worried about the first page then i thought everyone was just being sarcastic so i rated them all funny. That's what happened, right?
My favourite part of ROTF was Shia LaBoeuf's finger. It's great, in one scene it's there, then it's gone, then it has a bandage on it, then it's there again, then it isn't, then it is.

Transformers 2 made me dizzy with all the spinny shots.
"360 shots must be used in every scenes!" - Michael Bay.

Anyone else think of the Mulan Song when they heard the title?
Anyone else think of the Mulan Song when they heard the title?
I thought Pink Floyd
[img_thumb]http://i52.tinypic.com/2irm4hz.png[/img_thumb]
what the fuck at least use someone attractive.
what the fuck at least use someone attractive.
can't exactly call Megan Fox attractive though, heck at least the blonde doesn't look like she's sticking her nose up at you in every scene.
at first i wasn't pleased with the new chick replacing megan fox, she was a part of the movies, at first they wanted to keep her character but change actress, thank god they just changed it. Still gonna be different without megan fox. Can't wait to see it, everyone has their own opinions and likes in movies, you can't bash someone else for liking something you don't, its pretty dumb. And postal there were alot of mistakes in the movies, kinda inevitable i can name a few from transformers from the top of my head. [editline]23rd February 2011[/editline] also this new chick character is a model she has no acting experience, this may not be good
Whats up with the cars with the guns and stuff sticking out of them? Robots in disguise my ass.
The fucking chick looks so out of place. She looks like a dressed up whore in a dirty, post apocalyptic, war movie.
Whats up with the cars with the guns and stuff sticking out of them? Robots in disguise my ass.
yea they look like something from deathrace, wonder what they are. and yea dunno about that chick, gotta wait and see if she is any good or garbage
And postal there were alot of mistakes in the movies, kinda inevitable i can name a few from transformers from the top of my head.
I wouldn't really call them 'inevitable' considering how many there were. Transformers 2 had more goofs in it than any other film of 2009. It's totally possible to make a big blockbuster and not mess up nearly that much.
www.moviemistakes.com ROTF has less than the star wars films, except for phantom menace.
http://blog.moviefone.com/2011/02/25/transformers-3-topspin-redneck-mullet/ ahahaha i hope these guys end up being right about this [editline]25th February 2011[/editline] the title of the article alone had me laughing
Here's a little conversation point that I felt obligated to carry over to this thread. I had an epiphany of the sort that is incredibly awesome, and entirely fucking sad. Okay...so, Michael Bay makes something based on a Hasbro toy-line. Transformers. It's based on a toy, yet has a reasonably epic storyline and fan following which COULD amount to something fantastic in the right hands. Michael Bay shits out two godawful multi-hundred-million-dollar movies and makes the fans and intelligent moviegoers of the world groan as morons flock to it saying in their defense, "Well, it's just based on toy commercials, right? I mean, what were you expecting brah'?" Meanwhile... ANOTHER line of Hasbro toys developed alongside the Transformers is essentially the plot-less, saccharine leavings marketed to little girls, assuming they can be placated with far less substantial content. This line of toys, "My Little Pony", is later adapted by Lauren Faust after Bay's fuckups, and turns the ultra-prissy sack of nothing toys, into an excellent, well-animated, well-rounded series with well-rounded characters and almost regularly awesome writing to go with it. So I repeat, people claim Michael Bay wasn't able to do anything with the astral epicness (that already existed before he even touched Transformers) due to their origins as toys...and yet a few years later, someone takes something with infinitely less potential based on toys of the same period, of the same maker, and makes something infinitely better than either of his bombastic crap-tastrophes. In other words... Michael Bay and his abominations got fucking CURB-STOMPED by magical talking ponies...that shit is sad, and awesome...
Yeah, no.
