In the united states a lot of the times it's not a good idea to go around asking random people for weed you never know who's a undercover what I would do is wait until you meet people and run across one of your newely found friends that can get weed

If you are asking them if they know someone who sells weed, what would the charge be?
Surely if they suppied you it'd be entrapment and if they knew of a current sourse they'd be arresting them instead.
To OP, you're probably being too blunt and straight forward when you ask people, real dealers and smokes don't like that, if you want to try and find someone you'll need to use street lingo, you could ask if anyone can sort you some of "cheshire's cat smoke" or if anyone wants to bong with you.
That would probably depend where you live, but in my city, all the dealer are gangster, they wont sell you if they dont like you, like being a nerd, ugly kid or anything else, if you dont get bullied walking on the street the night. Some dealer can give you some weed if you will pay an other day, if you dont, some of them may actually come with their friend and break your leg, true story.
Otherwise, if you dont know anyone selling some, ask people that you know at the school, bunch of people certainly know someone.
