trust me, once you get to college it's a natural transition.
Oh you.
It's funny because you have a zombie for your avatar.
You can still sit on the computer a ton, if you want to that is. I've found that I'm mainly on the computer to pass the time while having fun. I've found since I started being more active socially and physically that I don't NEED to get on the PC. Also, at the school I go to I find it a lot easier to do homework if you have a small group of friends complete it together at the school. Since you're not at home the PC won't be much of a problem, you're in the right environment.
I'm hoping that college will give me a fresh start. This thread is so :allears: [editline]06:47PM[/editline] not in a bad way
If you think you can honestly do this, then by all means go for it :v: But you're gonna regret it soon.
My advice would be to replace your gaming hobby with something like a sport. i'd imagine the gym would be a good reason to keep you occupied for the evenings, plus it's good for you. Try listening to audio books and going out walking or hiking. Just broaden your horizons really. I used to be a lot like you, so I bought a dirt bike and have just recently signed up to a diving course. Edit: Jesus christ that girl in the picture looks so much like my chemistry teacher its uncanny.

D'aww what a nice story, good luck :)
My life is definitely changing right now. I went to the gym today with my friend to see, how much does it cost and how does it look like. It's pretty cool looking and it's quite cheap for such a nice looking gym. There are only 5 people the whole day in it, which is nice too. Tomorrow, we will do some workout and probably pay for monthly membership. It's only 20€ / 27$ a month and people there are really nice. They also said, they can do a free tutorial for us, if we want to. (I don't really need it, but would be cool to try) I'm happy where this is going. I had a great day today and now, I'm going to study for school. Tomorrow I need to check a store, that is looking for some students for job. Can't wait for tomorrow. Some exercise after almost 2 years of no workout. Oh and by the way, I'm not looking for a full-time job, it's still early for me. I'm just looking for something, that I can pay for all this stuff. And then I'll see if I still want to do that.
Good luck but it won't happen.
I'm in a similar boat, but I don't have any motivation. :(
I'm in a similar boat, but I don't have any motivation. :(
Your computer sits there constantly working and doing tasks, try and mimic that when you are feeling lazy or down. Try to leave the emotion behind and just function.
real thread music : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyooALwfxO8
I hope you succeed. [editline]07:44PM[/editline] If you can't get motivated when studying or working out or whatever, play the theme tunes of awesome movies to get you in the mood. Like the Rocky theme.
Godspeed. Hope you make your goals.
Am I the only one who got depressed by this thread? :saddowns:
I added my motivation picture. I seriously get an insane amount of motivation, when I look at it. Also first post updated with progress.

Why pay for weights when you can do press ups
You must really like this girl! And save money by not paying for the gym, why are you paying to use a treadmill when you can just go for a run? Why pay for weights when you can do press ups
True, but I tried working out multiple times without going to the gym and it's not the same. When you're in the gym, you are there to work out and that's what you do there. If I work out at home, I just get lazy when I see my bed or couch or anything like that. And it's much better to tell a girl, that you're going to the gym, isn't it? Most girls appreciate that. And yeah, I really really like her.
Good luck. Getting off the Internet... Maybe I should do that. Perhaps. Or PERHAPS NOT!
I can tell that you're already doing one thing wrong and that's posting on Facepunch. One can only achieve change by leaving Facepunch And you're commenting on people in this thread, you're doing it wrong.
Good luck but it won't happen.
I was picked on in school you know, just like OP might be, and a virgin for 18 years of my life, just like OP might be. I don't want to criticize him too much, at least he got more pussy than my younger days. Now I have all the chicks, and a Ph. D in... well you already know...
I already have Ph.D. from MIT and I'm a theoretical physicist at a very wealthy company developing teleporter technology, I'm set for life. Also a Ph.D in ass kicking. :eng101:
OP will become great, I can tell.
Good luck and all, but with that taste in women not very much can be accomplished.
Sounds great, trust me they are handy tools you'll need in life and the sooner you start, the better. I wish you all the best with her. You'll also find when quitting computer time is: 1. Theres SO MUCH time in a day. 2. You'll start to kind of naturally find other things to do which are usually beneficial. So good luck and remember that perseverance has it's rewards.
Good luck man.
Right on man. Just stay motivated.
also i sit oncomputer and do a-levels and have a car OP jealous>
The pin is on his neck.

I hope everything works out for OP, especially with the girl. I've kinda come to a similair crossroads where I have realised that I need to get my shit together, shit that is strikingly similair to your shit. Here, have a heart [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/rating/heart.png[/img]
One can only achieve change by leaving Facepunch
I'm not on Facepunch, because I MUST be on it and can't live without it, I'm on Facepunch because you guys are cool and I need some extra motivation from someone. I still have one, but it's nice to hear other people from all over the world to say:"Good luck man, wish you best". I say again, I can leave Facepunch the next second, If you think that's right, but I will never tell you, how things went.
