I need more self-discipline. Maybe tomorrow I'll just wake up and listen to the little voice in my head that says 'hey do this or that instead of that'. It should listen to it all the time.
The voice in my head tells me to not do things..it's protected me but has also caused me to not go after things. I disobey it sometimes but still...I think of a situation before doing it with a million different outcomes. Also I have very little motivation.
Good luck. Now if only I had motivation...
Firstly don't go to a bloody gym and waste money do pushups and situps and ride a bike , it's the same thing! If you say you are too lazy to do it at home then why bother going to a gym?? 2. Don't think you can automaticaly get good grades because you study from now on because you missed other tests and don't have that knowledge. 3. get a hobby that will fix you for good. When I have free time I sometimes spend all day tuning my motorcycle or driving in the forest.

So when I get there, I workout and don't do anything else. If I workout at home, I remember to check something on my PC, then there's something interesting on TV and then I do almost no workout, because it's just not the same feeling. 2. I'm not the worst in the class and I know that I won't get better grades automaticaly, but I study hard to learn stuff, I missed and didn't understand before. So I can keep up with latest stuff in school. 3. My hobby was sitting in front of PC or PS3 and just play like a maniac. I didn't even realize, how much I'm playing until few days ago. So for now, I will only have one hobby: Gym. It's healthy and keeps me occupied.
Good luck!

Not everything you do has to be constructive, there are a lot of hours in the day and if you don't relax and do whatever the hell you want at least every couple of days then you are going to burn out, lose all motivation and go straight back to your computer with more of a problem than you had in the first place.

If I wanted to quit everything, I would sell PS3 and games. I know that it's not possible to quit gaming for me, so I will just reduce it (for now).I'm doing good so far, since I played only like 30 min these whole 3 days of changing. I'll still play them, but not as much as I did. Don't worry, I do relax, but I'm have lots of things to do this week, so I'll play some on weekend, but not much, since I don't want to get back to the freaking geek, that has no social life.
That girl looks speshal
Apply for a job as a loader at Lowes, it will get you a job and put you in shape! Youll be tossing mulch around and pushing carts in 90-100 F! My boss lost 30 lbs last year working in lawn and garden doing that!
Good luck.
I'm 18 years old and can get a job mostly everywhere.
lmao
I have good grades and spend 98% of my freetime on the internet. I also do my income on the internet. I workout home using simple workout moves. Why so serious?
I have good grades and spend 98% of my freetime on the internet. I also do my income on the internet. I workout home using simple workout moves. Why so serious?
Because when I see other guys like my friends, they don't sit around on the internet like me. They rather go working out and playing football or something, while I sit around on my PC like a moron. They meet new people and stuff, while I meet new people on the internet. I'm not anti-social guy that is afraid to talk and is shy or anything, I'm quite social and fun and have a sense of humor, but I don't have many friends. Because of the internet and games. If I do these goal, I may even become a known person in my city, because I have potential to do it, it's just up to me to choose, what I want to be. And I just came from the gym and it was really awesome. Finally getting back in shape. Already payed monthly membership, so I ain't going anywhere. Oh and by the way, reduce playing games is working quite well too. 30 min or 1 hour a day is enough for me now.
I get motivated by thinking of my future career. If I don't study for that test for tomorrow, I won't become famous and make millions, etc.
So, all in all you want to: 1. Get Money 2. Get Rides 3. Get Letters 4. Get Bulky 5. Not be a dork. 6. Fuck bitches. Good luck :l Especially if you're already 18 and haven't thought about doing this already.
I said I was gonna do this 2 years ago. It didn't happen. :geno:
Enjoy working your fucking dick off for the rest of your life, trust me, I just started full time and now I can't even play Heavy Rain. Well sure I could play it when I get back home, but fuck, I'm trying to rest my arms not shake the controller for my life.
Good job bro. I just kind a lost interest in a lot of things. I don't play much videogames anymore, as I don't get as much joy as before. I go through times of extreme obsession with something then it just drops from my mind, programming, circuits, architecture, 3d design... Only thing that really gives me joy is learning, and solving problems. And going out with my friends and missioning. Or journeying if you want to call it that. Basically having a goal for the day and finding a way to get there/complete it. While on the journey you end up coming across things and having a fuck of an adventure. Adventuring pretty much sums it up. Both it and solving problem are sorta the same. They both are about going into something uncharted(in your mind) and exploring. I'm just trying things that I'm passionate about. Something to cause motivation... Good luck. Try to get into a sport club or something. Since there is a schedule you can't really say, ah I don't feel like excercising today. You have a commitment. And if it's something active like swimming or running, you'll see yourself getting more strong and in shape than ever. That thread music got me goin.
heartwarming read, I wish you the best of luck and you two a happy relationship if all works out!
She's really not that good looking, no offense. EDIT: And I really don't see what's so wrong with being on facepunch or the internet
That's some high expectations you've got. The problem is to stand it.
Good luck!
Good for you man.
Hey I think what you're trying to do is great, setting some goals like those and sticking to them is not as easy as it seems. I've kinda been through the same, and believe me it pays off. Oh and just one thing, having a girl as motivation is pretty nice, but you also (and mainly) should do this changes for yourself not for her, so if you ever lose her for some reason, don't give up on your goals and fall back to whatever you were before. Good luck dude.
Thread music + Post = Inspiring
Good luck dude. You're good looking, motivated, and optimistic. Not a lot of people can say that and if you keep that you'll go places.
Thanks guys. Well I finally got unbanned from my 1 week ban and I'm here to tell you wants going on. So I'm working out in the gym this whole week now and studying pretty hard. I started to collect some money too, I already have like 100€ in my wallet. :D Good thing is that my father is going to give me back my 500€ I gave him 1 year ago. He said it's for driver licence and I'm fucking happy about it. I still didn't got a job, but working on it. I'll probably work in the summer though, because there will be more time to work. I really feel everything is working well. I even contact the girl and she said it would be great to see me again. God, I'm so in love and motivated.

Wow dude, you just blew me away. I really did not expect such a great thread. You're an inspiration to people like me (:P), and I hope things work out, for you, and between you and her. I myself have no problem not playing any games. It's relatively rare that I play any games, but I surf the internet waaay too much. The problem is that I don't do anything about it. I just sit here. I keep telling myself that I don't know what else to do, but perhaps I just need to learn what possibilities there could be for me. As with you, my motivation is also a girl. She means more than the world to me. Not to take you down again, but if this does NOT work out for you (the girl), then do NOT give up! Life doesn't end with one girl. "There's plenty of fish in the sea". And perhaps you just haven't found THE best fish. I'm not saying you haven't, I'm just saying that it can always be the case. And in that case, you shouldn't give up. Not now, not then, not ever!
EDIT: And I really don't see what's so wrong with being on facepunch or the internet
There is, if you spend the entire day doing so. Every day. Every week. Every month. Best of luck, and a bucketload of hearts. (PS: I wanted to add more content to this post, but I can't think of anything more. Just know that you're not alone, and that other people truly wishes you the best!)
