I'm having a hard time imagining how this foreshadowed "meeting" of the two parties can be executed in a manner that is timely, understandable, and can be accepted by the reader. It just seems like something that was supposed to have more time to explain but ultimately didn't get. The one scenario I can imagine involves both John and Karkat voluntarily dying, which is a hard case to sell and essentially makes them useless for the remainder of the story.

I never said anything about being angry. Yes, it's good if your art circulates, but if they don't know it's your art, then the circulation won't achieve anything for you.
Really, if anyone cared enough to click a link to see who made it, they'd simply ask in the absence of such a link.
