Incense - Sticks or Cones ?

I've had better experiences with sticks, because you can take an old wine bottle (or similar) and paint it awesome colors, and design it, then light your incense, blow it out, and then drop it in while it's smoldering. It will continue to produce the great smell, yet it won't be a fire hazard.

Also, i remember seeing a version of incense where the powder is put on a special hotplate. No mess, and you just dump it outside or in the trash when you're done.
