I hated Inglorious Basterds.
I didn't like it till I saw the whole thing in one sitting. It was better than I thought it was, especially with all the hype.
I hated Inglorious Basterds.
Who doesn't like seeing a group of Jews kick Nazi ass? I must ask, did you even watch it?
Jackie Brown was the most optimistic Tarantino film I have ever seen also you're right Reservoir Dogs is the best.
Nah I still think Pulp Fiction is his best work by far.
Dusk till Dawn is also just fucking cool
Woah Rodriquez is from my city. That is awesome.
I don't give a damn what anyone says, they need to make Grindhouse 2, Grindhouse was such a cool theater experience.
Im my opinion, Pulp Fiction is his overall best. It's simply brilliant in every way. But personally, Reservoir Dogs is my favourite. All he had was some warehouse and he made an absolute classic out of it. Shows that you don't need a strong story, a lot of money and cgi, just good dialogue and characters. This movie inspired me the most to want to make films.
The opening scene to Inglourious Basterds is just the best i've seen.
The bag switch scene in Jackie Brown was really good, but i didn't really pay attention to the rest of the movie.
I watched Sin City for the first time last week and it was the best film i've seen in a while. It's just a piece of art.
I enjoyed True Romance but i couldn't help thinking that Tarantino should of directed it and not Tony Scott.
I'm in love with Kill Bill. Loved in so much i bought a replica samurai sword, and looking forward to Kill Bill vol.3. Does anyone know any info on Vol 3 yet?
Does anyone know any info on Vol 3 yet?
Look at Quentin's twitter, hes posted some things on the third film and a little bit of script.
The only things I've really liked of Rodriguez's are his room in "Four Rooms" (I liked this immensely), and possibly sin city (I saw it long time ago, so I can't be real objective about it). Mariachi and Planet Terror are both pretty good, and show I think that he has potential, but other than that he just doesn't seem to have much else to show. I haven't seen machete yet, though, so here's hoping.
Btw, Rodriguez's part in From Dusk Till Dawn is what makes the thing horrible (yes, I hated the second half of FDTD). It's quite obvious that he took creative direction there to some extent, because it's exactly like planet terror, only worse. The first half on the other hand, is actually quite good, it being there where you feel tarantino's presence. In fact, I'd say that FDTD is actually two mini-movies whose plot just happens to be connected at the middle.
Much like Grindhouse now that I think of it, except of course without attached plotline.
Sin City 2 should've came out like 2 years after the first.
I thought the ending to Death Proof was one of the best things Tarantino has done. It was hilarious.
But Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds are his two best. Can't decide which is better.
Rodriguez is kind of hit or miss. Machete was fantastic. His best other than Sin City and El Mariachi in my opinion. But all the Spy Kids films and Sharkboy & Lavagirl look pretty terrible. I wasn't a huge fan of the Mariachi sequels. The first few viewings they were okay, but then I realized they aren't that great.
ooo from the set of Django Unchained I assume?
I'm looking forward to it, but I'm a bit skeptical about Jamie Foxx playing the lead.

I'm confident. I thought he was pretty good in Collateral.
once upon a time in mexico was horrible, I can't believe I watched it

Shame.
Well, based on the script [sp]the role is very small. I'd imagine maybe 5-6 minutes of screen time[/sp]

Michael Fassbender's role in Ingloruious Basterds was small too, but along with Christoph Waltz he stole entire movie.
The level of sciptwriting that this man produces is unbelievable

Maybe they got the same guy to make it.
Official synopsis:
Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.
Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.
Django and Schultz’s search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of “Candyland,” an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candie’s trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival…
Written and directed by Academy Award®-winner Quentin Tarantino, DJANGO UNCHAINED is produced by Stacey Sher, Reginald Hudlin and Pilar Savone. The executive producers are Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Michael Shamberg, Shannon McIntosh, and James Skotchdopole. DJANGO UNCHAINED will be released in the U.S. on December 25, 2012, and internationally by Sony Pictures.
Damn that's a sexy synopsis.

Holy fucking hell, I just saw True Romance (written but not directed by Quentin Tarantino) and honestly it might just be better than Reservoir Dogs. It was incredibly fucking good.
[editline]14th July 2012[/editline]
I've been on a binge for Tarantino lately and watched a shit-ton of his works and rewatched the ones I'd already seen.
Loved Jackie Brown, loved Death Proof, and I'll always love Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. But holy fucking hell, True Romance was just so damn good.
Just found out that True Romance was written by Tarantino, I have seen it few years ago from TV and now I am going to watch it again
Spy kids was a good film for the time and it really kicked off the start of 3D films again, I think in the times now though it is a really bad movie. Robert Rodriguez is still a great director and I love his work. Machete is one of my favorite films because it relates the 21st century idea that illegal immigrants are terrible people and the works of Arizona's law enforcement. Its a great film and I suggest you all check it out if you haven't yet. Plus you see Lindsey Lohan's tits
But she's gross.

He also wrote Natural Born Killers, but Oliver Stone did make some revisions, I believe.
