Ephemeral Rift makes the creepiest (and best) asmr videos
Funny how they make Youtube videos and channels just about anything today. But yeah, that was a nice, professional barber shave. Imagine if you had the equipment and the expertise to do it at home, like a pro. Would be pretty boss.
Watched this video the day it was posted here and I just tried shaving with some of the techniques used in the video and it's weird how well it worked. Usually shaving is kind of painful and a burden but this was enjoyable, good find!
asmr is really creepy tbh
Some of it is really creepy to me, like ones that have people whispering about "self-assurance" and shit, others are just really interesting and unique, like EphemeralRift's.
As someone who's always struggled to shave without some horrendous nicks or cuts I'm pretty sure this would cut my face to bits.
I feel sorry for people who can't get into ASMR.
As someone who's always struggled to shave without some horrendous nicks or cuts I'm pretty sure this would cut my face to bits.
Not sure if it's just me but single-blade shaving with safety razor or shavette has always been much easier on my skin than that multi-blade malarkey.
asmr is really creepy tbh
Let people enjoy their fetishes.
Also how did a professional shaving video turn into this whole thing about ASMR? What the hell, do you guys get get some tingling sensation of relaxation or something, like an euphoria, when you watched this video? I watched it for "educational" purposes, as well as for entertainment.
Let people enjoy their fetishes.
It's definitely a non-sexual thing, I think the ASMR community, including myself, is pretty agreed on that. There's definitely some stuff on youtube that borders on fetish level ASMR though, I can see people getting the wrong impression but, for the most part, it's just noises.

Well, yes, ASMR is a relaxing/tingling sensation, not too unlike the feeling produced by scalp massage: Many videos involving people fiddling around with things or talking in a soothing voice inadvertently ends up being ASMR-triggering videos. This video has like, chilled me the hell out. Seems like the guy really cares for his craft, which is awesome. Never been to a barber, but damn I want too now.
I avoided this thread for a long time because I was sure it was the virtual barber shop video.
Klipper Kem, Nomad and Taku Beats are some very great hair stylists. You can see how much he puts into his work: http://instagram.com/klipperkem
Having a shave from that barber is actually really similar to a wet shave. This means that you can reproduce this stuff in a lesser, but still reasonable quality: I've heard that the idea of "safety razor" is familiar to Americans. To most Dutch people, it is not. So, for reference, this is what a safety razor looks like: They take a bit to get used to, but they do provide a cleaner shave than cartridge and electric razors. And it's fun to do.
Yeah, I personally would rather shave with a straight razor, but it takes a lot of time and patience, safety razors are also another alternative, but give less control than I like. In the end I end up using the cartage based Trac II, but it's only because it works fairly well, and is really quick to do when I've gotta get out quick.
I would never be able to let someone else shave me ever since Sweeney Todd
I would never be able to let someone else shave me ever since Sweeney Todd
That's a horrible excuse, it's a fantastic experience and usually leave you with a fantastic shave.
