DD isn't really supposed to be a place to get HIGH as FUJCK and post stupid bullshit like image macros and random nsfw pics, except maybe in a few off-topic threads. This forum's still under typical forum rules and you guys do alright without much mod interaction- but you can't whine when we have to step in and make changes. nsfw pics and macros aren't disallowed because we have people under 18 on the forum though

Knowing there are 13 year olds and maybe younger lurking and posting in DD makes me feel uncomfortable posting all the shit I do. IMO 14 and younger is too young for drugs.

I feel like the occasional image macro does not warrant a ban. If it got out of hand, I could see the need arising to start handing out bans (Enough is enough) but we're a pretty self-moderated forum and I didn't really see the ban for the image macro as deserving. I can see a ban on NSFW images being all-inclusive so we don't get a stream of porn threads (They WILL happen) but I feel like this forum is a rather more laid-back one and doesn't need as strict moderation. Hence, I feel the ban for the image macro was unjustified, I understand it's to prevent stupid image spam and senseless posts but I feel like, unless it comes to a point, that isn't a suitable reason for a ban in DD. People are going to PUI and we're all pretty tolerant of that. I feel like the Image Macro post wasn't reported by someone being like "Oh, image macros will ruin DD. I love this place and I'd hate to see it go to shit" but rather someone being like "OH SOMEONE'S BREAKING THE RULES! I'M GONNA GET SOMEONE BANNED! *SNICKER SNICKER*"

This entire forum isn't an image board, we don't want you to be posting unfunny image macros unless they're made on the spot specifically for the thread topic (at the bottom of the page is the rules link to give you more details). Avoiding NSFW image bans is easy as hell, just don't image tag them and warn other users that the link is NSFW. Our bans on these kind of things are warnings, maybe we'll rethink the ban length if that someone is PUI, but it's still against the rules.

[editline]15th September 2011[/editline] and even if it did non-reg'd users would just hit some sort of error or message since they can't view these boards.

I think this forum is pretty cool, I don't care about NSFW pictures or image macros, the only people who really explore these parts are druggies and mods anyway. It's not like lurkers can even see into the forum without making an account

DD is part of Facepunch therefore mods can do what they want here. Frankly a lot of people get away with bannable stuff here because the mods probably hardly come here.
