A classmate of mine committed suicide today because of bullying - General

This is sad, it seems like I know alot more gay people my best friend came out to me the other day then so did my other friend it was shocking but I still love them though

Everybody faces problems that are equally as tough depending on situation. I'm having problems with mathematics that, if not fixed, will be detrimental to my future. Sure if you take an overall picture its not as bad as some Africans starving. However, if you look at the situation I am in, its my biggest worry and could be equated to starvation because my future is at stake.

Anyone that believes what they are going through is the worst possible thing anyone can go through is not only a little girl, but not very smart.

That's really awful. Bullies are assholes. But to be honest, I don't think suicide was really necessary, but I don't know what it was like to be him.

I love how everyone goes on about how people who commit suicide are weak willed, and how it's the 'easy way out' or the 'cowards way out', but can you honestly imagine just how fucking hard it would be to bring yourself to end your own life? Can you imagine how difficult it would be to kill yourself knowing that there's so much you'll never get to do or see? Knowing that it'll leave your family and friends distraught? Easy way out my ass. Suicide would literally be the single hardest thing to do in your entire life.

People complain that you're being selfish and not thinking of others, but when you're suicidal and depressed you feel like you have no one else. It's not like someone wakes up one morning and goes "Well, I'm gonna kill myself today.". It's never like that. These feelings of wanting to not exist build up over time, and eventually people exhaust all their options. Suicide is the final step. And I can't imagine what a person is thinking when they're about to cut or hang themselves, but it must be one of the saddest things I can possibly imagine. To feel like there is no one else to help or to even save you. To be that alone must be the of the hardest things a person has to endure.

I can't stand when people associate the ability to off yourself with bravery. People don't commit suicide out of bravery, they commit suicide out of fear. They are literally so afraid of life and the pain it brings that they are looking for any means of escaping it. Yes, it takes a lot of nerves to kill yourself, but those nerves are derived out of pure fear. I don't think suicide is "easy" by any means, but it is the cowards way out. Brave people keep fighting even when the end isn't in sight.

Being suicidal means you have been driven to that point, that you want to end everything. These people who are suicidal must endure something you or I can't imagine [i]every day[/i]. Does that make them brave? Yes, in a different light. I can deal with problems because I know how to cope with them. So does coping equal bravery? Or does enduring those problems with no foreseeable solution except death equal bravery? People get tired. They can't always fight 100% of the time. Even the most brave people will hit a point of weakness, it just depends on that person's mental stature to see if they can handle it.

I am gay and I fear the same thing will happen being open about it. I really can't take it if it were to ever happen to me, like it's not bad enough not to be able to date at the moment.
