Well Mr. Tough guy, you obviously haven't been in clinical depression. There are ways, but not everyone has access. He probably couldn't move, talking to teachers do jack, and no, people who commit suicide aren't stupid. You don't understand it, so you label it as stupid.
If I ever, ever think 'i may as well just kill myself' I tell myself to pause, realise that I'm not at fault here, and that it should really be the people that make me feel suicidal that deserve to die.
Worked wonders, a while ago.
Colton Pugh, Alex Blinder, Zhané Hunte, and Cj Gardner, thank you.
I can't respect suicide. You're basically quitting, giving up and saying "this is too hard for me, fuckit." You're also forcing your friends and family to deal with your death.
I'm not saying that what happened to him was justified in the slightest, but I would respect someone a whole lot more who made something of his life instead of letting something like this get the best of him.
Not everyone is strong, and words can hurt. Some people are really sensitive. Obviously it will hurt the families, but for someone to commit suicide, they have to be pushed far, deep in.

Good for you, doesn't work for everyone though.
Goddamnit, my names Drew
Do they know who bullied him?

Over-sensitivity is a vice. I know some people get shit more than others, but everyone has to deal with idiots at some point in their life.
What should have happened is when the school first got word of this they should have banned the kids for life for being too stupid to deserve the air they breathe.
Do they know who bullied him?
Someone said on the wall that his family caused it.
>Wearing purple to prevent bullying
Hey guys to show my support for Japan and all of the deaths of natural disasters, instead of confronting the problem like sending donations, I'm going to wear a bee suit all day.
I've been depressed for the past four months. I've never been suicidal because I'm not a fucking idiot. There are ways to get out of being bullied, that's all that I'm saying. People who commit suicide are stupid. Giving up your life for some fucking bullying that happened in highschool?
Suicide is the mans way out. If I die, I want to die for my own reasons and on my own terms, not like some pussy bitch who dies slowly of heart failure or some dumb shit like that. I want to go out the honorable way: With a grenade to my chest and a smile on my face.

Well that unfortunately didn't happen.

They are also selling bracelets at my school for how ever much you want to donate. I'm buying three for $20 tomorrow. But, seeing as you do not go to my school, you cannot buy said bracelet. Therefore, wearing purple would be a gesture of remembrance, rather than a directs means of support.
Thank you Brendan Diedrich.

Doesn't justify the suicide.
EDIT: MAH AUTOMERG
My school went through this a couple months ago. I'm sure some of you remember the thread. I hope your local media handles it better than ours did. They way they covered it here was disrespectful, all their "facts" were wrong, and it went against the requests of the families of the students to not have their children's faces everywhere. But I digress.
It's always so sad to see this happen, because It can be prevented, and people around always feel the pain because they feel they missed the signs. The families and friends are in my thoughts.

So instead of confronting the bullies and the people who were bystanders let's all just wear purple :downs:

If I had paypal, I'd send you the money for some and pay for you to ship some over.

What does the money go to?
I'm probably in a minority here when I say that I consider suicide selfish, but I do. I mean I find it absolutely tragic when someone kills themselves, and while I mourn them and the things that brought them to it, I can't find myself to respect their decision.
Suicide just leaves too many loose ends. Parents, siblings, friends, teachers... anyone who has known the person more than a mere acquaintance will now look at where this person was, and all they'll see is an empty space. People will mourn, people will hurt, and people will be in states of misery for an amount of time as a direct result of the person's suicide.
You can try and justify it with clinical depression or emotional oppression or whatever you want, but every day there are people who are in far worse situations than the person is - chronic rape victims, abused children, minorities in third world countries who basically have everything but their own lives taken away from them. While some of these people undoubtedly to commit suicide, a number of them don't - and either way, their situation was far worse than, let's face it, a kid being bullied in high school.
So while I mourn his suicide, I hope the best for everyone who knew him, I feel nothing but resent for those who brought him to this ultimatum, and I wish things didn't have to end the way they did, I can never respect his decision. There are far worse things than being bullied in high school about a sexual orientation.
Donate? To who?
The family. It's unconfirmed whether or not his family was or was not the cause.
Thank you Daniel McCarthy. Mikael Laine, you did not help. I would appreciate if you would remove your comment or replace it with something having to do with the subject at hand as not to draw attention away from it. Thank you.

Okay. I thought the school was trying to capitalize on the suicide. That's something that my school would do.
Go read a book.
there are plenty of books that would agree with me. That doesnt make me right, nor does it make you right
