1st one: Epic. I can remember seeing the trailer years back when I was young and thinking "Fuck me, it's that scary its probably plausible" 2nd one was complete shit. The downfall of the second fim was that after it was released, "In a house in a heartbeat" was fucking EVERYWHERE. Also This mini series was on the collectors edition for 28 weeks later. Unfortunately these shorts are astoundingly better than the main feature Episode 1 - Insertion View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=0JgiJo5VK0M Episode 2 - Location View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=XVuHlNOsCOE Episode 3 - Extraction View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=91NzWOu71F8
I hated those.
I liked days more than weeks, but weeks was still good enough to stand on it's own. Personally glad that it differed from the first movie even if the outbreak was predicable, it was fun to watch. Looking forward to 28 months as Boyle himself has said he would return as director for it, "Sunshine" meant he couldn't direct the second film though he was the executive producer: Well, I didn't want to do the second one, because I was involved in Sunshine. But I went out and I helped them [with 28 Weeks Later]. I did some second-unit shooting on it. And I really enjoyed it, actually. There's something about doing something trashy that's great. Where basically you just come in the door and you just kill them. That was rather refreshing. —Danny Boyle on directing. After the success of Slumdog Millionaire I doubt he would have trouble getting the backing for the film, though at the moment I think he is still shooting "127 Hours". I'm guessing the third would tie in with either a total doomsday or [sp]a cure being found as hinted in the second film with the boy and his mother[/sp].
28 Days Later was a masterpiece. The scene after the opening credits is so eerie, and strangely terrifying despite the fact that there are no zombies in sight. The idea of waking up, not knowing where you are, and seeing the capital city of your entire nation to be abandoned is a feeling that nobody can just shrug off. The British Soldiers were obviously scumbags from the start, but once they actually start doing terrible things, it's still a bit unsettling even if you saw it coming. It was well-written, despite it's cliches, and it was well acted-out as well. I wish I could say the same about 28 Weeks Later.
28 Hours Later could be an interesting idea. [editline]10:23PM[/editline] 28 Seconds Later.
28 miliseconds later. The movie would be so quick, you wouldn't even know you just saw a masterpiece.
28 Weeks later: It's a few months after the first infection. Dom is in a small cottage with an old couple, a black man, and his wife. They get attacked and Dom escapes, leaving his wife. Dom then travels to london on a small boat. His sister and son meet with him in London. 2 days after his wife spontaneously appears, with a deadly secret that reignites the infection once again.
It's a few months AFTER he left the house he meets his two children again... And I love the movies. The first one is the best.
I just bought both movies for $18 at a local blockbuster since it is out of business and they are selling everything
These were the movies that originally put the group Muse on my radar. I loved the trailer music for 28 Weeks Later and had to find the song. Now, Muse is one of my favorite groups :P I loved both movies although I didn't quite get the same emotional impression in 28 Weeks Later as I did in 28 Days Later. To me, 28 Days Later remains a classic with it's unique film style and techniques that I've never experienced before. Danny Boyle is a well respected Director for me now too after 28 Days later.

I liked both, but in my opinion first one was better.
I just saw the part in Weeks where he pushes her eyes in makes me want to puke it is so
I love both these movies, I've watched them at least 100 times. I can't wait for 28 months later :woop:
Storyline was much better in 28 Days later compared to 28 Weeks later where it went from 10,000 people to 2 kids and a guy from the army.
I love the two movies but 28 Days Later is my favorite. I too love the opening scene....especially when he's walking around on the abandoned streets and everything was in disarray with all of the missing people posters up in the square.....one of the creepiest parts of the series IMO. I just thought the first one had a better atmosphere; the entire first half of the movie is scary as hell. I love the minimalistic music in these movies too...instead of blaring horns and strings they play ambient guitars. To me, the music in a movie adds a whole other dimension of creepiness, and these two have it for sure. Can't wait to see the third!
I like when they start shooting everybody in Weeks
Never watched weeks, mainly cause I heard it was no where near as good as the first which I fucking adore, so I never wanted to ruin it.
I blame the fact that Danny Bole did not direct the 2nd one
Does anyone know if their's another one coming? Like 28 months later?
28 Months Later is set to come out in 2011
28 Days Later is on SyFy channel right now.
Liked 28 days alot, but hated 28 weeks. I'm a huge zombie-fan, but 28 weeks felt like it was back to the well-walked paths of the standard zombie-genre-shooty-shooty-stuff. Well well, atleast it wasnt as bad as the 2008 remake of the day of the dead. That has to be the worst zombie movie I've ever seen. It had nothing to do with Day of the dead at all.
First was awesome. The only good part of the second was when they were escaping the house at the beginning.
Probably, Boyle is still busy with another film at the moment though I think.
Watched weeks first. LOVED it. One of my favorite zombie movies. then watched days. was really good. Much better than I expected. A bit slow though. However The beginning was great, and rounding up the end was great. I still prefer the 2nd though.
I went to sleep to the commentary of 28 Days Later last night (I can't sleep without a movie playing). I like 28 Days Later so much i bought the DVD. [editline]09:13AM[/editline] Haha 28 Days has the coolest tag line ever on imdb "His fear began when he woke up alone. His terror began when he realised he wasn't."
