In reality, a lot of them aren't really worth that much. I've seen Life Force in box, NM several times at different pawn shops going for under ten dollars. Most if not all of these would probably max out around 20 dollars, retail. So although he got a great deal, he didn't buy 5000 dollars worth of games for forty. He bought about 800 dollars worth(retail) for 40. Which I am still envious of.
Is he wearing Project Glass or something.
It's GoPro camera.
I got all this from a garage sale for 30 bucks, they are in a box in my room right now actually. Whoah, I'm fucking jealous. Also, we don't have garage sales in here. Fuck my country along with this fucking Europe.
She looks like my japanese teacher
Only an asian family wolud take care of all these games like that
I don't get 1 thing though - It looks like he showed games for both Sega Genesis and Sega Megadrive. Does both work on the American Sega, or would he have to use 2 consoles?
Reminds me of when I saw putt-putt goes to the moon and some freddi-fish cds at a nearby thrift store for a dollar for all of the cds
did you buy them? I'd pay like $40 for the whole humongous games collection easily.
he has a video game collection but has no car lol
With those games he could buy 4 cars.
Damn, she got ripped the fuck off.
I would have given her $100 just because I would have felt guilty otherwise.
No one is this lucky. How the fuck.
If I were her I would kill my fucking self by selling those all for $40.00. And, honestly if I saw that on the act, I would spoil his fun and told the lady the real prices of those games.
Holy now I miss the NES. I use to shoot dem ducks up all the time
Not even two minutes in and I'm tearing up from fucking ENVY. I hate this guy :'c [sp]Not really of course but... god damn it that's too lucky[/sp]
He bought the whole deal for the price of ONE of those games at least This is lottery-lucky, I tell ya.
I would have given her $100 just because I would have felt guilty otherwise.
As much as nice that would be it could raise suspicion and if she started to ask questions you might not get such an excellent deal. I was at first thinking this would be some normal video but when he started to pull those classics is such a good state and the price I was shocked and jelaous.
Reminds me of the time I did volunteer work at my local Salvo's shop. In the far back of the room, they had a huge garbage bag with all these NES games, along with a few instruction booklets intact. Bought them all for about 20c each. Games included Wild Gunman, Megaman 1, SMB/Duck hunt, Zelda 1 and more. And a zapper.
I'm willing to bet those weren't her games so someone is going to be MAJORLY pissed when they find out how much she sold them for. Seething with envy though, I'd love to get a find like that.
oh my fuckiiiing christ that guy wins everything best find ever, seriously the english language does not have words that accurately describe the jealousy I feel.
That's amazing. What a friendly guy too. Pretty rare these days.
When she said "dollar each" I had to pause the video, this shit happened to me before but back then I didn't play Genesis nearly as much as I would do now.
Some one must be very unhappy finding out that their mom just sold their precious collection without them knowing.
How much would each be worth?
I'm no expert, but that whole collection would definitely add up in the mulitple hundreds range, maybe up to a thousand. [editline]22nd July 2012[/editline] Hell, I should go to yard sales to find old vidya games. I live in Alabama, its customary for families to go out to the Sunday yard sale every week.
holy shitting dick nipples that was the best find ever the jealously is exploding inside me
I love watching stuff on peoples yard sale/garage sale finds. This man scored big time.
I think my luckiest find was a working NES for 2 bucks, from a closing game store.
I've been out of the market for a while, but from what I can tell, that's $1600 there if they've been opened. If they were sealed, ten times that.
There is no guarantee that the instruction manuals, inserts, and promotional information is in every box. If that is the case, I will say that ~1500 is fair. However, if it is just neatly kept boxes and carts, then it's halved. I have tons of cartridges in their boxes, but the thing that doubles their value are the inserts. 100% original is what collectors go for. These look almost collector quality, which makes me think that the woman in the video either had a child that collected them, or still does, and they are not aware of the sale. In the end, my jealousy is overwhelming. And to make things worse, the day that I saw this video(yesterday) I perused a local trade-in shop and somebody bought a Jaguar in box for fifty dollars.. Immediately after their purchase, I offered them sixty. They declined. Fuck. So instead I got Norse by Norsewest for Saturn.
